Big thanks go to Kegatron for gifting me with a bottle. I heard nothing but good things about this brew, so I am excited to have a go at it. Bottled roughly 2 weeks ago. 12oz bottle into a tulip shaped pint glass. The brew appears a pale golden yellow with a finger of white froth that fades to a thin film across the top leaving some webby strings of lacework sticking to the glass. Rising bubbles of carbonation maintain that film and a light swirl brings back about a finger to the surface.

The aroma starts off a little leafy, grassy, herbal and slightly vegetative. That green hoppiness quickly gives way to a lovely amount of fruit like tangerines. As the glass is swirled, a bit of sulfur emerges along with some trace mineral quality and biscuit-like graininess. As the brew warms up, it goes back and forth between the leafy quality and fruity tropical aspects. Overall a nice smelling IPA for sure.

The taste starts off just like the aroma leads you to believe; it is bitter and grassy. There is a bit of vegetative aspect blending into herbal components that get progressively fruity, rindy and citrus flavored to bright and zesty. There is a very mild grain presence that is a bit toasty but it is faint in comparison to the hop character. As it warms up, it displays almost a tea-like finish that is minorly astringent but flavorful and not distracting at all.

This is a medium to lighter bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. The alcohol is very well integrated for a 7+ percent brew. This is a very well put together example of an IPA. It displays a super enjoyable depth of character and has quite an ease of overall drinkability. This is worth seeking out. Thank you very much for the gift Heath!

Poured from 12 oz bottle , bottled 3 months ago so I wasn't going to rate it but it was so good I thought I would

A very light yellow colored beer with a white 1 finger head and small amounts of lacing

Very sweet hoppy smell , floral and earthy and sweet

Very nice smooth mouthfeel to this brew , very enjoyable

Very nice tasting beer , the hops the malt and the yeast all come together very well , just a great example of an American IPA that is very balanced , will be purchasing this every year when it comes out
