Poured this American Pale Wheat Ale from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. This wheat ale poured a thick white head- Over carbonated - retention was average and it it left ample lacing. The aroma consisted of malted wheat and plenty of lemon citrus hop notes. Medium bodied, the ale had a wheat base, lemon rind and bitter floral hops- Dry finish. Normally a boring style in my view, Schlafly did an excellent job of hopping up this ale and creating a unique twist to a classic American beer style. Prost!

12 oz bottle into a Hoegaarden glass. Bottled 6-11-12.
A - Cloudy blonde with brisk carbonation. Massive head that lasts forever. Lots of lacing. Excellent.
S - Resiny, piney, grassy hop aroma. Fairly aggressive for an american wheat.
T - Firm initial bitterness with crisp wheaty malt flavor. Transitions into a grassy, black peppery hop taste and mildly dry finish.
M - Light body with brisk carbonation. Slight impression of oiliness.
O - A refreshing, grassy, hop-forward summer wheat beer.

Apperance: Pours a hazy golden color with way to much head. The bottled on date reads 3/19/12. So this particular beer is somewhat out of season, i think this may be the cause of all the excess foam. This beer would have scored a 4 or 4.5 if not for being past its freshness date.
Smell: Lemons and yeast. Good citrus aroma mixed with the smell of fresh bread
Taste: Once again, citrus and breadiness. Good hop notes to finish. Really nice and refreshing. Wish i could have gotten a hold of this in the middle of the summer.
Mouthfeel: Crisp and clean, very refreshing and smooth
Overall: A very good wheat ale. very refreshing with nice citrus notes and a mild hoppiness that isn't to much for the casual drinker. The only thing this beer lost points on was the fact that it came out mostly foam.

I had this on-tap at the brewpub. It was so friggin hot outside that I had to.
A: Poured a slightly chill-hazed apricot-yellow color with a slight head that stuck around for a while.
S: This was very wheaty, fruity, and spicy (peppery). The potency was moderate overall.
T: This was fruit-infused, with lots of wheat, and more than a tinge of orange zest. Yummy!
M: The peppery quality gave on a nice sensation on the base of the tongue and the carbonation and lacing were both fine.
O: This was a nice summer entry. I'm glad it's available in bottles in my area.
