This is one amazing creation. It reminds me of those chocolate oranges that you smack and they fall into slices.
Black like their coffee stout, smooth brown head that lasted and left good lacing.
Smelled and tasted of dark chocolates, kind of a mix between baker's dark unsweetened or semi-sweet and cocoa powder, with a healthy addition of oranges. Very well balanced in the flavors, despite being a very boldly flavored beer. Dark toasty and roasty malts, and just a hint of coffee finished it out. Not too much hop profile, but then it wouldn't really be needed on this one anyway.
Body was full and creamy, with a nice orangey-choco finish.
Definitely get this one while you can, it's tap only and a one time creation according to the Taproom staff. I picked up a growler on the way out but will probably wish I had picked up two.

Enjoyed on-tap @ The Schlafly Tap Room in St. Louis, MO for $4.25. Tapped from a Non-Labeled Stainless Steel Tap Handle into an Imperial Pint Glass.
Aroma- A very mild aroma. Has a good amount of roast and then citrus mixed with cocoa comes into play. Very faint though... Had to search for a long while for these attributes.
Appearance- Received with a .5 finger head that is dark tan but dies fairly quickly. Has a very dark brown body and clear to what I could see. Leaves good lacing behind.
Flavor- Once again, the Terry's Chocolate Orange taste comes into play! Awesome! Citrus mixed with dark chocolate and a good amount of roast. Malts are huge here and has a medium bitterness level. Perfect all around!
Mouthfeel- Full Bodied, Light-Medium Carbonation, Creamy, Smooth, and the chocolate covered oranges hangout on the palate! Whew. This is wonderful!
Overall Impression- As close as you can get to actually enjoying "Terry's Chocolate Oranges" except in a glass. A very sweet stout with a big pronounced body and great flavor! Make sure you wait 10-15 minutes to let this one warm up though. Definitely recommend this if you come into the Tap Room! I would say get a Growler of this as well because it won't be here long!
