My first ever cask-conditioned brew AND a single varietal barley. Every single one of my nerd cylinders are firing. On cask at the Schlafly Tap Room.
A golden-orange pour gives a tiny head and practically no retention, lace or carbonation. The nose is delicate and juicy with faint spicy tones atop the orange, barley malt and English golden syrup aromas. The flavors mimic the nose with the light-bodied palate starting with juicy orange and a wave of golden syrup maltiness joined by a very mild bitterness- bringing some delicate hop leafiness. The bitterness subsides quickly on the finish, leaving lingering flavors of barley and syrupy apricots.
Overall, the presentation is short, but the flavors and all their juicy suggestions linger for quite a while. It was an absolute delight to have this be my first cask-conditioned brew.

Pours a slightly hazy, golden color. 1/5 inch head of a white color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of wheat, hint of hops, hint of yeast, and slight sweet malt. Fits the style of an American Blonde Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of fresh sweet malt, wheat, hint of hop, and a hint of grain. Overall, decent retention, aroma, and blend.

Definitely golden, clear with a pretty good head and lace.
Smelled and tasted of toasty bread, sweet malts, with a touch of hops, really well done for a sweet blonde ale. It's so easy to drink and just a touch slick from the sweetness, but oh so tasty.
Body was light and carbonation was brisk. Easy to drink leaving you wanting another for sure!
This one was on tap at the Schlafly taproom and is a one-off creation. Get it while you can!
