Golden copper pour with bubbles galore. The head is a finger and a half thick, but the bubbles never stop rising from the bottom, making the beer look hazier than it really is. Good retention on the craterous head. Thick, sticky, crazy lace.
Very bready nose, with high pine scent and to a lesser degree, some citrus.
All malt on the front end and all pine on the back end. Simple, but good.
Fairly smooth and creamy for an IPA. Gentle sweetness early on that's somewhat trampled on by the malt with a bitter, oily finish. The hop oil coats your tongue and the faint citrus leaves a slight tartness. Despite moderate alcohol and high hops, it's very easy to drink and goes down smooth.
Another home run from Schlafly, one of my favorite brewers because just about everything is top notch at an affordable price. Only have a single, would like more of these.

Received in trade from bluewolf17, thanks for the opportunity!
Pours a crystal clear Medium golden color with a huge bubbly white head that persists forever. Smells of pine and resin with a hint of garlic and a modest caramel bready malt to back it up. Light earth and a touch of alcohol round out the nose. The flavor is sweet with bready caramel and a solid shot of ethanol. Bitter pine and resin dominate the flavor with a long lingering garlic and ethanol bitterness finishing us off. Medium body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a sweet resinous mouthfeel. Nice IPA but maybe the flavors are a bit harsh and clashing just a little bit.

12oz bottled March 27, 2013. Served at around 40-45F.
Pours hazy amber with nice little bits floating around, three finger white head that settles to a small cap and leaves good lacing behind.
Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, lemon, good bit of pine, a little floral, grassy, some bready and caramel malt. Good strength.
Flavor is grapefruit, lemon citrus, resinous hops, good bit of pine, grassy, some caramel malt backbone, moderate sweetness, moderate to good bitterness, mild to moderate alcohol.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a little oily, good carbonation.
Nice IPA, but not as good as the Tasmanian IPA!

Crisp and clean, not as hoppy as expected though that may be due to the American Hops of which I am unaccustomed. Very much enjoyed it. Love the box which, as a collector of six-pack sides, is why I purchased it.
Good hop aroma though not as strong as hoped for.
Enjoyed poured aggressively into a pint glass.
Label is updated from that which is above, now covered w/ hops.:-)
(Edit to mention this is now labeled as an APA.)
