Poured from a 12 oz bottle dated 11/20/2012.

Excellent pour. Typical dark brown colored thin porter like pour. Pitch black inside the glass. Nice one finger thick tan brown colored head that recedes slowly. Excellent lacing on the sides. Opaque colored.

Nice strong coffee aroma. Ground coffee with strong pungent smell. Strength is moderate to good. The coffee dominates the flavors and hides the other components of the beer. Some roasted malts slide through the midst.

Taste is a nice mix of roasted malts and strong coffee flavors. Finish is dry and slightly bitter.

Mouth feel is medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Drinks heavy. Very strong coffee.

Wrongly picked this beer at night when i wanted to sleep.

A- pours opaque black with a small fizzy light-tan head that reduces quickly leaving just a ring, short lasting lace

S- nice chocolaty roasted notes with some sweet oats, dark-yet-not overly bitter coffee with a touch of vanilla, very nice

T- great balance between the bitterness of the coffee and the chocolaty roasted notes. I think that by using the coffe extract, it tames the bitterness a bit. The sweet chocolate is complimented nicely by a silky oat character that leads to a dry-yet-slightly bitter finish with a faint coffee linger

M- medium body and carbonation with a bubbly mouthfeel that leads to a creamy finish, dont necessarily get the silkiness associated with an oatmeal stout

O- nice coffee flavors in this one, reminds me of a poor mans FBS, would pair nicely with desserts or chocolate.
