I was very pleasantly surprised to find this beer at the National Azabu Market in Tokyo.
A - Pitch black with, disappointingly, no head.
S - Coffee with soft notes of chocolate and sweet maltyness.
T - Light coffee flavors, mixed with lightly roasty, slightly sweet oaky barley flavors,. It has nice depth of flavor but nothing too forceful. I could see knocking back a six back of these with a rack of bbq'ed baby back ribs.
M - Light body, with average carbonation.
D - My first craft beer I had in a half dozen weeks, I loved every second of it.
