A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a coating down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of apples are present in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the taste is a little fruity and has hints of grainy malts along with some initial sweetness that is followed by a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: While this beer might seem a little bland, it's definitely very easy to drink and doesn't have any "off" aromas or flavors.

Yet another typical Polish lager, I would call this a style as it's hard to differentiate between each Polish beer, although most are better than this.
Clear yellow lager appearance, thin white head.
Not much of an aroma here, pretty "lagerish."
I'm not enjoying this at all. I seem to be tasting a lot of alcohol and bitterness, not very appealing. Not much sweetness to balance it out.
Definitely not something I'll buy again, there are better Polish beers than this.

Appearance: Poured with a solid finger of head that produced some minor lacing, but did not stick around for long. The body is a clear darker gold colour with light, slow and steady carbonation.
Smell: Barley with some hay and mineral notes with some mild hops. It screams average lager to me. I wish there really was something more to say here.
Taste: Roasted barley malt with a slight hay note starts us off which produces a bitter kick of apples with grassy hops and ending with a sweet corn note, that someone manages to be interesting.
Mouthfeel: The carbonation could be a bit more aggressive and the head could have stuck around longer, but the smooth transitioning, mixed mild aftertaste and clean nature earns it back some points.
Drinkability: This does very well in this department, it's the light end of medium bodied, which is wear a good Lager should sit. I would have no problem drinking this all day, any day, although it was a little gassy in the guy. Solid stuff though here.
Final Thoughts: All in all a solid all around Lager and one of the few import lagers that appear to be worth the cost of importing. All in all it's a nice, modest lager.

I haven't heard too much about the beer Lezajsk but it hails from the town of the same name. The back label has a little story about how in 1525 King Sigmund the Old granted the brewers of the town the exclusive right to brew beer. I wonder how long that royal decree lasted?
Lezajsk pours a a slightly dark gold color with an amber hue. A fingers worth of foam forms and thins out pretty quickly (in less than 20 seconds by my count). The beer smells like a cheap Euro lager. There is some wet paper smell mixed with grains and a light citric hop presence. The mouthfeel is what I expected it to be: a bit on the thin side, with a high-moderate amount of carbonation. The flavor isn't too strong, but consists of a grainy flavor with notes of what I can best describe as a vegetable/apple juice hybrid flavor. A bit of alcohol flavor can be detected as well, and there is a very light citric hop flavor. There is a small amount of dryness in the finish. The aftertaste is mostly clean, with some bready flavors present, and the brew concludes with a very slight alcoholic warmth.
This beer really isn't anything too special, but it is drinkable. I wouldn't turn one of these down, but I don't think I'd actively seek it out either.

Appearance - Pours a clear golden yellow (reminiscent of apple juice) with a very thin bubbly head. Lots of bubbles are present.
Smell - Apple juice, slight breadiness, sweet corn.
Taste - A hint of the apple flavour comes through (as picked up in the scent). Very minimal hops and no bitterness. Little bit of grains. Not too much complexity in this one.
Mouthfeel - Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A tad thin.
Overall - A refreshing euro pale lager from Lezajsk. Not too much to say about this one in terms of flavour, but still has its refreshing qualities. One of the Polish offerings I come back to now and then to enjoy.

Poured from 500ml bottle into pint glass.
A: Pours a translucent gold with streams of active carbonation racing to the top. The weak white head starts modestly then dissipates to a puny film. Lacing absent.
S: Euro lagerish? Some adjunct, mild hop/malt. Water.
T: Same as scent. You get some barley, hop, malt and adjuncts. Tasty, but nothing to get worked up about.
M: Good carbonation. Easy to drink.
O: Here's the deal; it is not a great beer, but it is certainly not a bad beer. I could see this being a solid choice for people wanting to pair a beer with pizza or wings. I would drink it again. Average is a good word here.

A consummate Euro-lager (and odd Christmas gift).
Pours a bright golden colour with large bubbles that dissipate quickly. Mouthfeel is oilier than I would have expected for a 5.5% ABV lager, but not unpleasantly so.
Sweet aroma of grains is followed by a totally innocuous taste. Bread and grains in the forefront with a subtle bittering hop finish at the end.
Not a style of beer I'd ever choose, but don't believe this is any worse than many other examples of that style...

Picked this up at a deli in the Ridgewood sector of Queens. Lots of Russian and Polish beers availiable in that area. 500ml poured into a standard pint glass.
A- Golden color with a very thin white head that disappeared quickly. No lacing on the glass.
S- More or less an average adjunct laden smell, but with a strange wet-rag smell mixed in.
T- Not good at all. I admit the flavor was stronger than expected for an adjunct lager. In this case, that only makes it that much worse. Grainy with a strange earthy/dirty water chemical type flavor. Polish dish water.
M- Super thin and carbonated.
O- Poland makes some pretty good beer as I was surprised to find out. This however is not one of them. With the moderate abv, this isn't even something just to slam down and get drunk off of. Avoid.

I'm trying out a bunch of Polish beers lately. I picked this one simply because it was relatively cheap and from Poland.
It looks just about like any other lager: pale golden colour with a thin head. Medium amount of carbonation rising to the top.
The aroma is extremely faint. I'm only getting some faint grainy smell.
The taste is mostly sweetish grain, and slight bitter hops. It has a kind off hoppy/chemical grain taste at the end. The mouthfeel is quite nice though!
Overall, this isn't a great beer. It's tolerable, but I won't be getting it again.

Served in a Chicago Bears shaker pint glass.
Still halfheartedly working my way through my fatherland's myriad of breweries. This offering pours a clear yellow straw topped by a finger of white foam. The nose comprises corn, wheat, grass, light white grape skin, aluminum foil, and hard water. The taste brings in more of the same, along with some sweet corn syrup, more hard waster, and tin foil (instead of aluminum). The body is a hefty-leaning light, with a moderate carbonation and a thickly watery feel (that may sound oxymoronic, but that's how it feels, man). Overall, I can really only say that I am not a fan of this beer. That's it.

Pours a translucent, bright golden colour with one finger of dense, foamy white head that quickly fades away to a thin cap and collar. A bit of lacing on the sides. Bubbles whiz to the surface in streams. The smell is nothing especially interesting - sweetish barley and some grassy hops. Decent for the style.
This is a pretty tasty lager. Grainy malts, some honey or light caramel sweetness. A little corny. Slight twinge of leafy hops, but otherwise very little bitterness in this brew. Vaguely sweet maltiness in the finish. Pretty thin and mostly watery; a bit of creaminess/slipperiness in the mouth. Carbonation is a little low for an EPL but it works here.
Been a while since I've had any Polish beer; I generally like their spin on the EPL style and Lezajsk is no exception. Reminds me a bit of Tyskie, another Polish beer I am fond of for some reason. If you like EPLs this is a worthy pick, but if you don't this is probably a pass.

Very pale golden blonde colour, one finger white head with some lace. Smell is grassy, hops, bread and malt, cereal, quite clean. Taste is of grainy malt, cereal, bready, lightly hoppy, grassy in finish. Medium weight, good feel, carb is bang on, pretty nice. Not bad but not great, it was slightly enjoyable though. Probably a one and done for me.

Bottle to Pint
Consumed 5/30/11
App- A darker yellow with a one finger head to it, no cling.
Smell- Lager yeast was in there but not much aroma at all.
Taste- A very basic lager that was brought back from Poland by my wife's uncle. It was bad it was just I think their version of bud light but tastier
Mouth- Light bodied and high carbed. A lot of bubbles.
Drink- Nice to try something from overseas. I wont have again, just a bit bland. Nothing to get excited about.

Lezajsk has an almost angelic golden complexion; the way the light spills through the window at this time of day it italicizes its flawless clarity and shimmering gloss. The way the bubbles pressed themselves against the glass from the pour it looked very soda-pop-esque; that carbonation dematerialized, however, and the head left behind is utterly pooched.
The aroma fails to earn a higher score not because of any adjunct-tint, light-struck notes, wateriness, staleness or off-putting characteristics - as is overwhelmingly the case with pale lagers - but simply because it is, by any definition, average. It smells tactfully of a familiar and commonplace bready maltiness, lightly tinged with sweet corn grain.
If you know you like pale European lager imports there's a very high probability that Lezajsk will suit your tastes just fine. It has a modestly malty flavour that leaves little to remember it by. Its slightly corny taste is gingerly sweet; considering there's no real hop presence to argue with, the beer is a sure-shot when it comes to widespread agreeableness.
I'd have preferred more flavour but appreciate the beer's relatively dense body. The Poles aren't ones to sellout the weight of their beers, not even with their pale lagers. When you've taken a sip, you know you've taken a sip (and feel it in the belly afterwords too). And good on them for not diluting it with any adjuncts either. If nothing else, it's clean.
A young me thought Lezajsk was the bee's knees of European lagers. The me with seven more years of beer drinking experience knows better. But I still do like it. And I still maintain Polish lagers deserve more credit; this is a people who are weened on lagers from the time they're at their fathers' knees. Believe me, they know a thing or two about 'em.

The pour produced a sub par head, turned to nothing within 1 minute. Color was pale/straw and super clear.
Smell didn't impress, he slightest hop aroma.
taste was average, slight bitterness, no sweetness, slight after-taste on back of tongue
mouth feel was pretty smooth, not highly carbonated, easy to drink
Not a huge fan because of that after taste but could make a good summer cookout beer with food.

My tour of Polish beers rolls on. Pours a golden yellow color with 1 finger of head that fades quickly with some streaky lacing. The aroma is a mix of sweet malt and and some bread along with a hint of oily hops. The front end is sweet, giving way to good carbonation in the middle with some subdued bitterness on back side leading to a fast and clean finish. Body is medium and drinkability is good. A pretty standard, decent lager.

500ml Bottle
Appearance - The beer pours a clear golden colour with a small frothy off white head. There really isn't a whole lot of carbonation showing. There is some faint lacing on the sides of the glass. The head stuck around for only a few minutes before it was gone.
Smell - breads/grains, corn syrup, pale malts, light caramel
Taste & Mouth - There beer has a pretty basic mouthfeel. It would benefit from a slight increase in carbonation. The most evident flavours are breads/grains and a light caramel sweetness. There is also some corn syrup notes and light hops. The beer finishes with a nice refreshing slightly bitter and sweet aftertaste.
Drink - An average brew.. definitely not bad; just not something I would seek out again.

Source/Serving: 500mL bottle with expiry date of 2/16/2011
Smell: Old sponge, musty apple, wet towels, slight nondescript hops.
Taste: Creamy artificial caramel and apple at first. Vapid bitterness, very thin watery mouthfeel, but plenty of bubbles. In no way harsh, rather its oddly creamy. Devoid of much flavor in the middle... just a touch of dry bitterness with continued caramel and a mineral edge. Finish is dry, soapy and very metallic. Quite watery and coats the tongue unpleasantly making you need another sip.
Note: A real disappointment.

I found this single 5OOml brown bottle in the refrigerated beer section at Springbrook Liquors in Bloomingdale, IL. A best before date of 7/2O/2O1O is stamped on the back label, so this beer is actually 4 days past its prime.
The beer poured a relatively clear golden-yellow color that was more straw yellow when held to light. The beer made a 1½ finger creamy white head and it lasted a few minutes before receding to a thin white rim. There was a decent amount of lacing left behind with each sip. Not a bad looking beer.
This beer is almost odorless. A faint grassy smell is all I get. There's no bad smells here, but nothing memorable either.
There's not a lot of flavor to comment on here - mostly tastes like highly carbonated water. There may be a touch of malt and grainy sweetness, and an even fainter dose of leafy hops, but no real hop bitterness to speak of. This is mostly water.
Watery thin mouthfeel with very high carbonation.
If you like bottled water then you'll probably like this. If you're looking for flavor you'll have to look elsewhere. Easy to drink as far as no harsh flavors or noticeable alcohol, but not much flavor to enjoy.

This is not a great beer. I would not buy it again. The taste is very flat and it doesnt expire for another 7.5 months. It lacks character and any sort of carbonation. The one upside being that it's 5.5% alcohol so it "works" if you know what I mean ;).
A - Straw yellow. Standard for a Euro Macro Lager.
S - Standard slightly skunky Euro Macro Lager smell.
T - Well, it's drinkable, but just barely. It lacks carbonation, and if it had more, it would be an OK beer. It also lacks taste, it tastes like nothing. The flavor profile is minimal. No malt taste or hops to speak of, I'm only getting the water portion of the 4 ingredients that made this...which can be good if you're on a mission to drink!
M - I can't feel it in my mouth, it's basically water.
D - I'd rate it higher if it wasn't so flat tasting. Sure you can drink a bunch, but this may be the most boring beer I have tasted from Poland yet. Their other beers are good though and have carbonation, amazingly. You just don't feel the need to have more than a sip of this kind of beer. It's really that boring to drink.
So to wrap up...avoid.
