Never even heard of or seen this beer before. It randomly fell into my lap last week after it was left in the backyard cooler from our Xmas party. There were 2 left, so I decided to crack em'.
Note: I drank them both from the bottle so I can't really give a good assessment of the appearance, so i'll just average it based on the other aspects...blah blah blah.
S: Like a German Bock (surprisingly) - sweet and malty, bready with a hint of grassy hop in there as well.
T: Where did the nice malt and hint of hops go??? Like a standard Mexi-Beer but a hint of brown sugar and toasted grain.
M: Standard, slightly less than fizzy, session beer.
O: Unfortunately the nose is the only thing with German influence in this one. Don't get me wrong, being born and raised in SD, I have a major weakness for Mexi-Beer and this one really just is a good Mexi-Beer, and not much more. Right up there, and maybe even nicer, than Victoria (another Mexican classic). I could drink these all night and with an ABV of 5.9% I might actually catch a buzz which isn't easy to do with most Mexi-Beers.

A- Clear dark red amber body with a light tan foam cap.
A- Caramel and biscuity malt aroma.
T- Grainy sweet caramel flavor. Light balancing bitterness. Some phenolic flavors that makes the caramel flavor taste somewhat sweeter and old. Mostly clean finish with a sweet phenolic seat belt taste. Actually the aftertaste reminds me somewhat of non set jello.
M- Medium body, low to medium carbonation.
D- An ex left me this beer. It was better than I expected. Don't fear drinking this, but don't seek it out.

the beer pours a dark brown color with red tints, the head was off white and reduced to a filmy layer.
It smells of caramel and spice with a slight metallic scent, the aroma is pretty good. It tastes similaar but with mre metallic flavor, I also tasted more caramel and some light grassy hops. The beer has a light feel with plenty of carbonation and a slightly dry-lingering finish.
I was very impressed with this beer, mostly because the store by my house sells it for $3.99 a six-pack.

Beer pours a deep copper color with a modest cap of foam that dissipated quickly. Sweet grain and tobacco in the aroma. More sweetness on the palate, too much. Some bready notes mix it up until the beer moves into a vacant center and finishes with a touch of bitterness and metallic twang.
Not the best bock out there, but not bad for south of a south of the border bock.

From bottle...poured in small tulip glass.
Copper brown color. Small head.
Aroma of toasted malts, toffee, caramel, tobacco.
Significant carbonation...modest mouthfeel.
Flavors of medium sweet malts, minerals, citrus, water. More malt than light Mexican beer have, certainly, but light compared to Christmas - Holiday beers, or as it says "Estilo Bock." All in all, compared to the big beers I drink I would call this a session brew with slight caramel malt body.

Poured a crystal clear amber hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was very good retention and lacing.
The smell featured sweet corn, light caramel and a grassy hop.
The flavor likewise featured a sweet adjunct with some deep earth tones and cleaned up with a grassy hop.
The mouthfeel was toward the thinner side of the style.
Overall a pretty decent bock. A nice surprise.

This beer is difficult to grade.
#1- If compared to other Mexican macro beers, it would be one of the best of class.
#2 - If compared to American adjunct style Bocks (i.e. Shiner Bock), it would be slightly better than average.
#3 - If compared to German style Bocks, it would be sub-par.
Since the price was relatively low, I'm going to compare i to category #2.
Smells just like Shiner Bock but with maybe a tint of more hops.
Very attractive in the glass. Nice brown with purple and orange undertones. Perfectly clear with a white, quickly disappearing head.
Flavor is fairly sweet but with a dryer finish. A little bit of hops. A very little bit of spices. Some metallic/adjunct notes that distract from the final product.
Medium mouthfeel. Relatively smooth with appropriate carbonation.
This beer is respectable but not great.
One last note --- this beer is brewed in one of my favorite cities, Monterrey, NL, Mexico.

Poured from a bottle into a pilsner glass.
A - Clear amber with fizzy one-finger head which dissolved quickly. Surprisingly sturdy rings of lacing.
S - Mild aroma of lightly toasted grains and lager yeast.
T - Dextrin sweet graininess forward, with some spicy pilsner-esque hops taking over in the finish, also adding the slightest hint of fruitiness. A pasty taste starting in the mid-palate suggests the presence of adjuncts. Not offensive, but not good either.
M - Light bodied, with prickly carbonation. Appropriate for the taste profile. Probably the best thing about this beer.
O - Mild, inoffensive, and unimpressive. Definitely not a good representation of the style. Adjunct/dextrin tastes spoil what may have had some potential.
