4.1% ABV: 1.2 Litre bottle drank off the coast of Mexico in my Cunard Stateroom on 31 Jan 2013.

I really enjoyed this: it had a good amber body and was clean and clear looking, a thin off-white head sat on top of each pour.

Maltier than I expected and overall a fine (for such a cheap brew) beer. Refreshing and tasty (the malts giving it some flavour and sweetness, the hops giving some bite).

Props to my father-in-law for bringing this brew back from a recent trip.

A - Pours a dark copper colour, finger of head wit little retention or lacing.

S - Nose is mild, dominated by sweet corn, brown sugar and light caramel.

T - There is a surprising amount of flavour given the style and brewery, burnt sugar and caramel, hints of smokey notes, and leafy greens.

M - Medium bodied, smooth and wet.

O - A tasty brew that's easy drinking, though doesn't boast a flavour profile that will blow you away. An easy drinking brew that has more flavour than the other more popular brews from the country, and will pair well with the daunting heat.

Pours a clear dark orange with a foamy tan head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, caramel, and bread. Taste is much the same with a slightly sweet fruity flavor on the finish. There is a very mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that is a nice surprise coming out of this brewery, but not too exciting by itself.

Indio has a medium-to-thick, cream-colored head and a clear, somewhat bubbly, copper appearance. Practically no lacing is left on the glass. The aroma is faint, but one can pick up sweet brown bread. Taste is of brown bread, sugar, and corn husk. Bitterness is at a minimum. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Indio finishes mostly dry and crisp. Overall, this is pretty dull. I suppose it’s worth checking out, though.
