Paired with some steaks from the grill and potatoes.
Appearance: Fairly standard for a lager of this type. Nice hue of transparent yellow, but not as nearly as pale as a beer like Corona. Leaves some decent lacing and a reasonable head to go with it.
Smell: Eh. Nothing special. Some grain, a little bit of fruity sweetness... that's really about it. It smelled like a beer and that's about all there is to say.
Taste: Again, fairly standard for this type of beer. Very crisp at first, good for contrasting with heartier foods. It's mostly a grain/corn type of flavor with the slightest hop flavoring while going down.
Mouthfeel: It's a fairly dry beer and has a thin but not fizzy body. I got very little carbonation out of this beer. It doesn't leave undesired lingering or flavors on the tongue and go does very smoothly.
Drinkability: While it doesn't blow my mind, I could see myself drinking several of these if nothing else was available, despite its lack of character. In its defense though, it is a slightly better option to some other Mexican beers (Tecate, Corona, etc.).

Poured a pale yellow color with a big, foamy white head; little carbonation in the body. Funky, sour-like aroma. Fair flavor with just a hint of cereal. Good mouthfeel; clean, crisp, and dry.
Just an average beer for this style. The weird aroma really distracts from things as well. Drinkable? Sure. Makes you want more? Not unless there is absolutely nothing else available.

I'm shocked that this beer has so many "bad" reviews here on Beer Advocate. It is not bad, but only average. It is overwhelmingly average, so gargantually run-of-the-mill and ordinary that this is the first review that I have ever posted that awards five "3" grades in the ASTMO categories.
I had it with an average plate of wings at the mundane Buffalo Wild Wings in Tacoma on a Wednesday.
