Drank from the only glass I could find at the time (Duvel) that brought out some subtle flavors, but still not much of a banana taste, which is a good thing if you ask me.
Refreshing summer time drink, if you like wheat beers, you'll not want to pass this one up.

3rd Birmingham pub of 18th September 2012 mini-crawl: The Barton Arms.
After a pint of Oakhams JHB I thought I’d have a change of direction and had a half-pint of this fine Weizen: it was poured into a small Krombacher Weizen glass and looked a picture. I enjoyed it just as much as I did its bottled version back in 2008.
Orange and misty look to it: strong aromas of vanilla, bananas and semi-sour citrus fruits.
Tasted just right; everything you’d expect in a good quality Weizen, but with a little bit extra thrown in. Flavoursome and perfectly balanced between tart bitterness and fruity refreshment.

Comes out of the tap a hazy honey-golden with a thick, pale honey head. Rich, nose-filling wheaty aroma has a firm citrus undertone that is sweet and mainly lemon. Rich, wheaty flavor has yeasty and sweet lemon tones and hints of orange and grass. Lively, fizzy, full-bodied texture completes one of the best wheat beers I have ever enjoyed.

50cl bottle poured into the branded Krombacher Weizen glass. Bought at beach front cafe in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife.
A- Hazy orange hue, with a 3 finger creamy head siting on top, with excellent retention and lacing.
S- Yeasty! Staple banana and clove weizen smells, hint of vanilla.
T- Fruity esters of banana coming through well to a nice soft bittering finish. Lingers well.
M- High carbonation and light body.
D- Lovely to look at and a pleasure to drink with refreshing carbonation and good flavour profile.

-Appearance 4.0: No head to speak of. Very attractive beer in the glass, however. A deep golden color, but opaque and somewhat cloudy. If I saw this beer poured in a glass, I would drink it without knowing what it was.
-Smell 4.0: Wow. Delicious bouquet of yeast, sugars and barley. Somewhat a mid-level scent but very appealing.
-Taste 4.0: Front is somewhat sweet and the middle is vaguely citrusy. Finish is yeasty and has a delicious (and unexpected) light flavor of...vanilla. It must be noted that the finish is also dry and there is almost no aftertaste at all.
-Mouthfeel 4.0: Mid-to-high level of carbonation in this beer, but it is an excellent complement to the flavor of the brew.
-Overall 4.0: Excellent Weizen/ weiss beer. How do you know when you are making an excellent beer that is completely indicative of the style? When it perfectly embodies the style. Krombacher perfectly embodies Weizen. Recommended.

Krombacher Weizen has a thick, creamy, cream-colored head and a bubbly, very cloudy, yellow-orange appearance, with some good lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is of white wheat bread, some coriander, and a faint citrus. Taste is of light lemon, white wheat bread, a touch of coriander, and the faintest banana undertone. Bitterness is low. Mouthfeel is medium, and Krombacher Weizen finishes refreshing, dry, and easy drinking. This is a good beer.

Hazy apple juice color with a long-lasting foamy head. Smells sweet and sour. The taste is fruity and yeasty with a pleasant banana flavor note. This is one of two widely available wheat beers in Sarajevo (the other one is Erdinger) so I don’t have enough wheat beers to judge it against, but drawing on my memory this seems to be a true representative of the style, and a pretty good one at that. Anyway, a pleasantly tasting beer and a nice alternative to the ever-present bland pale lagers.

half liter bottle poured into a weizen glass. pours a hazy golden color with amber highlights and four fingers of off white pillow-like head that remains for a couple minutes.
aroma is mainly citrus with a note of vanilla. fruit notes include banana and apple. a slightly bready character is present as well.
taste is similar to the aroma, only with a more refined citrus and a smoother profile. finishes on a creamy note with lingering grain.
mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with a slight bite from co2 and a slightly watery finish.
drinkability is good. the citrus here is well proportioned and seemlessly intertwines with the malts. prost!

bottle that was 5+ months past its best before date.
cloudy butterscotch color with less head than I expect from the style
smell is smoke and butter and bread
taste is more of the same, with some bananas and bubblegum following and a smokey finish
nice carbonation with a clean finish. I would like it to be more chewy
picked this up as part of a build your own 6 pack, and I will definitely look for it again.

This Hefe pours with massive amounts of CO2 and creates great amounts of head retention. This takes a while to pour. The body is quite hazy and is golden orange in color.
Aromas detected are mostly dominated by bubble gum and vanilla.
This is a bit light in taste. Mostly banana in character.
This feels a litte spicy but still quite refreshing.

A: Pour is murky, light orange with a rich large creamy head that takes it's time to dissipate. Lots of lacings.
S: Ripe banana - wheat. Spicey. Faint malt and lots of citric notes. Some yeast as well.
T: Banana once more, a little held back in comparison to the taste. Bready sweet malt. Citric notes and yeast. lots of spices.
M: Aftertaste stays longer than I anticipated and holds some dryness. Body is light to medium and carbonation isn't offensivly rich.
D: A refreshing Hefeweizen that holds a little more breadyness than usually - not bad at all.

12oz bottle from BroueHaha QC for 2.75$
Appearance – Hazy amber colour with a huge size fizzy/foamy white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation and there is some fair lacing. The head lasted for around 3-4 minutes before it was gone.
Smell - Grains/wheat, citrus, yeast/spice, bananas
Taste & Mouth - The beer has an above average amount of carbonation. I can taste grains/bread mixed with lemon and a yeasty spiciness. There is also a fair bit of ripe banana flavour and pepper. It ends with a pretty spicy/peppery aftertaste.
Overall – Not bad at all. It has a surprising amount of kick to it during the aftertaste and some good fruity notes. A beer that is well worth trying.

A- Pours out a dark yellow moving into orange territory. It's a little hazy but I wouldn't say cloudy. A big billowing head of tiny egg white foam bubbles.
S- Lemonade, white bread, mushy banana
T- More banana in the taste but still lots of sweet lemon, and white bread malt flavors- like you mushed up a piece of wonder bread, sprinkled some lemon juice on it, and wrapped it around a quarter of a banana.
M- Very creamy. I like that aspect of the beer quite a bit. It makes it supremely more drinkable.
O- Could be a little stronger with the tastes, and a little less sweet and generic, but the mouthfeel is nice.

Reddish orange colour with a large, foamy white head on top that has the great retention.
Wheat and yeast with spice and coriadner on top of that. There is some clove in there too and the beer has a good, traditional hefeweizen smell.
Some cloves and banana coming through first foloowed by some spice and citrus. There is a solid, pretty normal wheat beer taste to this one but it is enjoyable nonetheless.
Smooth with a medium body and similar carbonation, there is a nice amount of spice and the beer tastes quite refreshing.
Quite a nice wheat beer with pretty much what you would expect from the style. Tere is nothing out of the ordinary but it is well balanced and is one I wouldn't mind trying again.

Appearance: An opaque, hazy deep gold color. Had a solid foamy white head that lasted a long time with excellent lacing.
Sent: Wheat and yeast with hints of banana, citrus, malt and clove spice
Taste: First cloves and banana then some spice and citrus.
Mouth feel: Smooth, medium body, dry finish with a bit of copper
Overall Impression: Might drink it at a party, but probably wouldn't pay for it again.

Pours a slightly hazy, golden color. One inch head of a white color. Great retention and decent lacing. Smells of sweet malt, pale malt, citrus, slight wheat, slight hops, and a hint of coriander. Fits the style of a Hefeweizen. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of wheat, pale malt, sweet malt, hint of hops, and a hint of sulfur. Overall, good aroma and feel, but average appearance, body, and blend.

Pretty good hefe. Pours a slightly hazy gold color into a Bud Select pilsner glass. Head is about average size with delicate bubbles. Leaves some lacing on the glass.
Aroma is strong. Lemon zest, cloves, wheat and a little banana /coriander.
Taste is good but not as robust as the aroma. Mostly lemon zest and wheat, with the spices taking a back seat.
Mouthfeel is light but not watery and refreshing.
I've had better hefes but this one is pretty good. Would not turn one down on a warm day.

Pours hazy yellow/orange with large white head that slowly fades. Aroma is fresh banana, yeast, some fruity esters - orange mostly, bits of clove, quite typical Hefe, but weaker than I would have expected.
Taste is sourish lemon, prickly and rather strong yeast, banana and bits of bittery herbs. Mouthfeel is medium with average carbonation.
Overall, typical, refreshing and well made.

Direct from Germany, brought over as a gift by a friend of a friend. Very hazy golden brown with a finger of fluffy white head. Good retention.
Clove seems to dominate in the aroma category, with a hint of lemon/lime type citrus mixed in.
Good amounts of semi-sweet citrus flavour up front, opening up into the clove and vanilla infused wheat taste that carries until the finish. Not outstanding, but nice.
More body than the average weizen, with the high carbonation you expect. Altogether a solid brew that is an easy drinker with more than enough character to be interesting. My thanks again for the fresh German beer delivery.

500ml bottle poured into a weizen glass by freshness date.
A:
Hazy yellow brass color with thick white velvety head with good retention, it gradually recedes to half-finger layer of froth atop, high carbonation.
S:
Trademark smell of Hefeweizen, there comes banana, citrus, malt and clove spice.
T:
Banana with hint of sweetness from biscuity malt mingles with light citrus and phenolic spice. Hop bitterness is rather mute.
M:
The body is medium, smooth mouth feel, dry finish.
O:
Very refreshing and high drinkable, it is well round balance in every angle, well done.

12oz bottle poured into pint glass
A: Poured a hazy yellow color a very nice head, good finger and a half of head that settles to a nice thin layer with great retention. Good start
S: Has all of the Hef notes you are looking for, banana, citrus, malt and clove spice.
T: The banana hits right up front with a hint of sweetness from biscuity malt, then I'm getting a light citrus note and a touch of spiciness, not much hops to speak of.
M: Strangely more medium bodied than I was expecting, smooth mouth feel, and pretty dry finish.
O: A well rounded Hef, pretty normal for the style but looking for.

Pours nice hazy draw color with white head. Nose has yeasty bready notes, with babana. Palate offers dry wheat flavor with clove, banana, and a sour quality. Light, easy drinking, not heavy on palate or in the belly. Could do many of these with appropriate food pairings.

A: The beer is hazy yellow in color and has a moderate to high amount of visible carbonation. It poured into a weizen glass with a two finger high bright white head that has good retention properties and consistently left a thin head covering the surface.
S: There are aromas of wheat and clove in the nose along with hints of bananas.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and also has some notes of yeast.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and has some refreshing properties. It is a good representation of the style.

Brought directly from Germany...
0.5L bottle poured into my Paulaner glass...
A - Cloudy amber body, a pretty solid and typical hefeweizen colour to it. The head is soapy and frothy at first, but then it becomes a little bit disappointing. Not very great head retention; minimal lacing.
S - Nothing spectacular here, but it's in line with the majority of good wheat beers. Yeast, bread, a touch of toffee, some citrus notes and some spices (cinnamon and clove).
T - Tastes like a typical German wheat beer, only milder. Wheaty breadiness and moderate banana-like sweetness dominate the palate. Some hints of spice and vanilla add another layer of flavour. A bit too tart in the finish, which I found quite surprising.
M - Light-to-medium body to it. Definitely not watery, which I really liked. Medium level of carbonation. Some moderate spiciness on the tongue. Quite soft overall. A slight hint of alcohol could be detected.
D - Not bad, but I've had better drinking hefeweizens. Even though this is a 5.3% beer, I felt that it was a bit hefty, and I even managed to get a minor buzz after having eaten a full dinner. Odd.
Overall, it was nice to try a non-Bavarian German wheat beer for a change, and I would definitely be willing to try it again. However, I would probably not put it in my top-5 hefeweizen list.
