Purchased this Brown Ale at Trader Joe's. They've got a decent variety of rare cheap beers that I'm looking forward to trying.
A - Pours a dark reddish brown color. Creamy Head and held together pretty well until the last several gulps. Average amount of lacing.
S - Slightly metallic at first, though nothing repellant. Substantial scent of nuts. Sweet malts and a adolescent amount of carmel.
T - Bitter up front with some roasted malts. Roasted nuttiness. Finishes a little watery, but is over shadowed by most any other "watery" beer.
O - It's better than most brown ales I've had. It's gotten a good wrap with most reviews. There's really nothing too negative to say about this one.

A- Clean dark reddish brown
S- Sweet chocolate malt, roasted grain.
T- Standard brown. Too light tasting for a brown. I do pick up on the chocolate undertones and roasted grains, unfortunately just not enough. Needs more complexity in the malts and perhaps a larger more pronounced addition in the hops.
M- Light malt, too "liquid" with not enough texture
O- Run of the mill, average brown ale. I would buy again for the price, but it wont knock your socks off.

I poured this beer into my tumbler at 45 degrees. The beer was the color of coca-cola and poured a colored big bubble head. The beer smelled like nougat. It had a rich wonderful taste that was a little sweet but not too bad. It was like a liquid candybar. I will buy again.

Poured at room temp in hotel glass (bought at Trader Joe's)
A: not lively carbonation; thin head, dissipating quickly;
S: caramel, toasted malt--quite pleasant and inviting
T: slightly watery version of a standard brown ale; nutty approach to classic toasted malt; hops give it a grapefruit rind quality
Overall, not bad, esp. as a table beer, but not outstanding
