Purchased a bottle of this at Trader Joe's for a pittance--I believe somewhere around $3.50 for a bomber. Upon opening, the nose has a good yeasty Italian bread overtone, joined by strong touches of banana, orange, and berry.
On the tongue, the beer begins with a fruit hit, as oranges, apricots, bananas, and pear notes wash across the tastebuds. These are tempered by subtle hints of spiciness, including light clove and white pepper. Toasted grain flavors are very light, and come across as fresh baguette. At the end of the mouthful, the banana flavors increase in potency, joined by a slight buttery tang. The aftertaste is a continuation of these latter flavors, and fades at a moderate pace. Mouthfeel is medium-light, and carbonation is medium.
Overall, this is surprisingly decent beer for the price, and while it won't be able to compete with a $10-per-bottle hefeweizen, it's certainly holds its own, and will likely be very appreciated by the casual drinker.

Picked up at TJs for $2 or so ($1.99 or $2.29, can't recall)...I really love the craft beer movement in this country, but the fact remains that the old standbys are vastly superior to so many of these products.
This is a little bitter, with an unpleasant aftertaste. Drinkable, but barely.
Just buy a Weihenstephaner or Schneider Weiße instead and save yourself the trouble....having tasted a whole bunch of wheat beers made in this country, I'll stick with the fellas that have been making them for over 500 years...they seem to know what they're doing!

Look: Pours a hazy straw/orange shade of yellow, with a dense off white two finger head into a pilsner glass. Completely opaque and cloudy in appearance, nothing is visible besides the beer when trying to look through the glass.
Smell: Lots of banana upfront amongst hints of savory apples. Notes of cilantro and clove. A little bit of bubblegum and white pepper here and there.
Taste: A very clean, crisp and approachable hefe. Slightly soapy and sweet upfront with creamy flavors of banana bread and apple tarts. Mid palate is dry and peppery, with notes of clove and white pepper. Finishes clean and very crisp with a sugary cereal-esque wheat flavor. It's ever so slightly sour throughout the tasting experience, providing just the right amount of contrast to balance out the sweetness.
Feel: Typical of the style, light and dry. My only complaint is that I'd it to be a little more effervescent and bubbly (it's quite tepid)- but the fact that it isn't so doesn't really detract much from this offering.
Overall: For $2.75... I won't be pulling any punches - this is an excellent beer considering the value.

This one pours a hazy straw and orange color. A moderately large foamy head quickly dissipates, the lace is ring like and thin. I smell the classic banana like aromas of typical hefeweizens, however, there is also a tangy citrus like essence that reminds me of orange peel and is also lemony and tart. There is also a bit of grass.
On the tongue, a lemon like and tart taste is evident on the first few sips. Some sweetness comes out as it warms, but not as strong and banana like as other hefeweizens I've had. In the mouthfeel there is mild spiciness and there are light phenols in the finish. It is a light bodied drink.
Not a bad brew for the style. It is refreshing and easy to drink.

L: Standard look for a hefe. Hazy gold, filtered, heavy head that stays around for a good minute.
S: Faint floral/fruity smell. Mixes well with the wheat scents.
T: Less wheaty than I would like. Nice burst of fruit and floral taste at the end of the gulp. Very light, good for being outside and working hard. Kinda boring though, not a ton of flavor and doesn't have the strong qualities that I like in my hefe.
F: Light body and crisp. Actually very nice.
O: Not a great hefe, but not a bad beer. Good to drink on a hot day I think. Its just too light and fruity for my wheat beer tastes.

Appearance: Hazy light orange with 1 inch white head that dissipates quickly to a small rim with mild lacing
Aroma: Medium bready aroma with mild clove and very mild banana. Hint of bubblegum. No obvious hop character.
Taste: sweet malt with mild clove spiciness and even milder banana. Balance is more toward the clove phenol than the banana ester but both are very mild. Some citrus and dry finish with a bit of a metallic aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: light body with medium high carbonation. Somewhat watery impression.
Overall: Light and thin with only mild clove and banana character. Very drinkable and about what you expect for the price. Can't say I would recommend it but I would drink it if someone gave it to me.
