Finally got a chance to go here last night and was not dissapointed. Great selection of stuff on tap, including the Stone seasonal (Double Bastard at the moment), Leffe, Chimay Blanc, a few Deschutes brews and many others. I saw a keg of YuleSmith hanging out, so I imagine they'll have that on tap sometime in the near future. Plus their bottle selection is amazing, with tons of Belgian stuff and plenty of SoCal and NoCal craft brews as well.
The bartenders are very nice and do good work, and the owner is very chill and easy to talk to. Wanted to ask if they ever had any Russian River (especially based on comments from others on this site) but felt it would be kinda presumtuous.
For Santa Monica this is a very down to earth bar. I wouldn't go as far as calling it a dive, but it's pretty small, with limited seating, a few pool tabels, shuffleboard, and then a big long bar. Music was a little loud for my taste in the game area, but just perfect by the bar. If you're looking for the "Hollywood" trendy place, this is clearly not for you.
My only complaints were that they don't have any bar food (would be nice to have some fries or something) and the pint prices can get pretty high. I think I paid $10 for a Double Bastard and $6 or $7 for a Fuller's London Pride. Not outrageous, but even for LA that seems kinda steep.
Bottom line, this is high quality, easy to find, friendly staff and good atmosphere. Nothing fancy, but it's all about the beer. I highly recommend.

Visited The Daily Pint on the 4th of July. Was somewhat worried it might be too crowded, but at 2PM there were only about 6 other people there besides me and my bf.
Great atmosphere. Totally feels like a hole in-the-wall neighborhood bar, but with an exceptional tap list. Sat at the bar and got great service. The bartender was friendly and attentive. I have heard that this place gets crowded on the weekends, so I cannot argue for the service or atmosphere at these times.
Over twelve beers on tap to choose from, ranging from more common beers like Boddington's, to two different Stone beers on cask.
I had a pint of Stone IPA with Simcoe & Amarillo hops on cask, which was quite tasty. Also had a pint of Chimay Blonde on tap, which I've never seen before, very delicious. Each of my pints was decently priced at $7.
Unfortunately this place does not serve food, but only sells snacks like corn nuts and bags of chips.
Overall, definitely a bar I'd go back to for both the beer selection and the atmosphere.

This pub is unique in that it is a dive bar with a great micro selection and the most unusual single malt selection I have ever seen. As for the single malt selection there might be a bigger one on L.A., I dont know but there were so many bottles of scotch that I have never seen anywhere.
As for beer no Pliny so I had a Blind Pig. The bartender was so friendly, I was going to Fathers Office Culver City next and I asked her if my route was correct, she took the time to write down a faster and easier route.
I wish I lived closer to this pub as I would be a regular and broke with all of the single malts.

I have been here a number of times now and this place is top of the line for the Santa Monica or Los Angeles area, cool crowd that is not exactly expected in this neck of the woods, first time I went was like a year ago for a bottle of Firestone 10 with my girlfriend and it was fantastic, still one of the best if not the best beers I have ever had, next visit I had an Evil Dead Red from Alesmith, most pint prices are around seven dollars, great bottle prices in my opinion, they have about a dozen taps that are usually rotated quite a bit and constantly, get some good local stuff along with some other east coast microbrews and occasional imports, cannot wait to see some of the casks that come in now that they have three handpump machines, heard the Firestone Double Barrel they had a few weeks ago was awesome, forgot to mention that this place has some of the nicest bartenders you will ever meet, it is not the cleanest place in the world but it has it charm, shuffleboard tables on the other side of the bar can keep you busy as well, will be going here a lot now that I am back living in the LA area, only real downfall of this joint is the parking situation which can be a pain in the ass at times, do yourself a favor and check this place out, it is well worth it!

After hearing so much about this place my girlfriend and I finally made it out a few days ago. Surely worth the (short) trip!
We got there early on a Friday afternoon and only had 5-6 other people at the bar so of course, our service was great. The Daily Pint seems like a hole in the wall dive bar but it's not. A great and well stocked bar with really comfortable chairs and a line of numerous taps. Ranging from Old Speckled Hen to Deschutes Black Butte Porter.
Always got to try out their cask ales (which I believe they'll start to have regularly) of a Stone Pale Ale with Coriander and a Stone IPA with Simcoe & Amarillo hops. Great stuff!
This is a top notch place for a pint, I've heard it gets pretty packed on Fri/Sat nights, but go early and enjoy the place! May very well one of the best spots to grab a pint!

I wish everyone was as lucky as I and had as fine a beer (and Scotch if you're so inclined!) establishment as this just a few blocks from work. Great selection and the staff is very helpful - tell them what you like and they'll gladly point you to something in their selection that will please. (For me this was Victory Golden Monkey.) There are over a dozen taps with a rotating selection of imports and craft brews. They even have a few casks - Oaked Double Bastard FTW! They also have a vast supply of bottles but I haven't ventured past the taps yet.
The decor is nothing to write home about unless the folks at home like a simple bar with a great selection and knowledgeable staff. No food either but food would only get in the way of the drinking.
Did I mention that I love this place? If you find yourself in Santa Monica and want a quality beer-drinking experience you can't go wrong with The Daily Pint.

Cool place and vibe. the owner behind the bar was very knowledgable and was quick to bring out other selections when my requests were not in stock. When I asked for some Rogue Dead Guy Ale he gave me Russian River Damnation! Hallelujah!!!
I was a little down that some people in such a cool place were drinking "miller lite" Ugh, why? Shooting pool and double fisting junk beers (thankfully) in seperate room all together. I wanted to scream "what are you doing?"
We were lucky to have the westmalle tripel, Leffe (on tap!!), Chimay white and a couple of good Czech beers and of course damnation.
well worth checking out when you are in the LA area.

This is my new local. The Pint has gone through some changes as of late with some remodeling to make it more of a sports bar than a pub. That said, it still retains its original character. The Draft selection consisting of over 30 taps is one of the best on the west side rivaled only by Fathers Office or Naja's. This includes a number in European brews like Chimay, Fullers, Hogaarden etc. and some Micros like Anderson Valley, Stone IPA, and Hobgoblin. Where the Pint really shines is its Bottle selection. There are over 150 available with a consistent rotation of high quality brews. Overall, I would say that they have the best selection on the west side. This doesn't account for the vast selection of single malt Scotch or Tequila.
Another thing I like about the Pint is its atmosphere and service. The bartenders are friendly and work hard to make sure everyone is served. There is Pool, Foosball, and Shuffleboard behind the bar for those interested, though they have lost the Dartboard with the recent installation of the Projection Bigscreen. Other "upgrades" include cushy lowbacked barstools, bar height tables, and more TV screens with enough tuners to carry every NFL game on Sundays. Regulars are definitely treated well and newcomers are also welcome. The crowd ranges from SMC and UCLA students to older forty somethings that have been there for years.
The vibe is low key and it isn't uncommon to see some Hollywood types trying to get away from it all (I ain't dropping names). Overall the Daily Pint is a friendly neighborhood place with an excellent beer selection and friendly service. Definitely a place worth checking out.

Great beer and Great people. I love this place. I live a few blocks away and I could walk here when I want a good beer (I know lucky me). Never have I ran into a problem with the staff here. If you like a beer they have it or have something you will love just as much. A place that must be checked out if you are in the area.
Only thing I would recommend is heading over early on the weekends especially Fridays. Friday nights it gets over ran with hipsters. Fridays it gets a bit overcrowded. Friday's late afternoons they will have stuff you can snack on for free which is always welcomed.
