Growler from Big Z (thanks mike!!!!) enjoyed from a speakeasy pint glass. Apparently this was brewed for NYC Beer Week. Brewed with cacao [sic] and vanilla, inspired by the tasty treat whose name it bears.
a - beer pours an ominous black with a massive three fingers plus of frothy grey head that hung out forever. this is the definition of a milk shake head. thick a frothy and leaves giant chunks coating the glass.
s - great roast. some vanilla and chocolate. black malts. some char to the roastiness.
t - hmmm....that's interesting. big roast bomb with a finish that boasts has some soft marshmellows and vanilla to it. it is pretty good, but not earth shattering. if the roast was dialed back in favor for stronger chocolate this could be the ultimate dessert beer. lots of big roast with vanilla and cocoa.
m - the body was a big surprise. it was rather watery and thin for such a roast monster.
o - overall, the mission of creating a beer that brings a black and white cookie to mind was somewhat accomplished. is that a good thing for a beer? decide for yourself. this is definitely a unique beer and i found it to be pretty good. certainly will have no trouble ripping through a 32oz growler of this one.

Served in a pint glass (and yes I am drinking all 64oz to myself).
Appearance: A very thin dark brown that which bubbles are hard to see. Head is dark tan coming off thick roughly a finger's length.
Smell: Burnt chocolate and coffee cream, complex and rich.
Taste: This finish is awesome, roasted chocolate with a rich vanilla bean at the end that is incredible. Comes off almostl coffee-ish to the point you think you are drinking it. It's bitter but yet richfully sweet.
Mouth: Medium and crisp. Love the roasted finish. One thing is missing and it's the friggin dessert.
Overall: This is good brew, straight up no with questions asked. I would prefer it to most if not all "Milk Stouts" that I've had and god willing, I will more. Salud!

A - Dark brown body with a mixed-bubble white head. Ok retention and lace.
S - Nice dry roast coffee. Toasted grains. Burt wood.
T - Medium roast coffee, touch of smoke, biscuity malt, sweet cream.
M - Light, thin body. Disappointing.
O - Not a bad stout, but it doesn't live up to the name.
