I used to meet a teaching associate here for Guinness after class every Tuesday evening. We were regulars for about 22 weeks and that is saying something considering a "pint" of Guinness was about $5! Occasionally FADO would have $2 Stella on special. It was right across the street from the Art Institute and they seemed to keep their lines clean, so the beer was good. Service was generally decent (holidays would get busy and therefore crazy, but I blame that on the Green Valley Ranch Casino location more than FADO). Food was overpriced but was welcome and flavorful. The decor is very nice like a british pub: dark, smoky and lots of wood. Soccer games were always on, so the hooligan faithful often showed up in large numbers.
Overall, it is a nice pub in Henderson and a perfect location for an artist/teacher like myself to meet likeminded professionals for a pint every now and then.

Fado used to be my favorite place to hang out in Green Valley, and its still fun. I stopped frequenting after they started charging a $4 cover charge. At least the place still hosts a great, fun irish band on certain nights. Beers are typical, irish pub selections like guinness, bass, harp, smithwicks, boddingtons. Stella Artois is one of the redeeming features, but I think they might hve replaced that with Carlsberg :(. Food is very good, traditional irish fare and great appetizers. Worth a look for the irish band Darby O'Gill and the Little People. Though this place has turned into a more trendy establishment, the crowd that demands fizzy yellow beer, many BAs probably would not enjoy this place all that much. But this place does have an oustanding atmosphere. My advice, grin and bear it, have a guinness or two, and enjoy the atmosphere. The music is awesome, and plenty of hot girls frequent this place before hitting the drop bar and whiskey bar.
