Finding beer in Cincinnati is a pain. I wanted to try this place last year when we went to our convention, but we didn't have a car. I had one this year and it is about 6 miles north of downtown. One of those State owned deals, they had a pretty good selection of Mid West beers and a ton of CA beers too! They let you mix and match 12 oz beers and that is key if you want to review a whole bunch of different beers. I wish they had more rare stuff but they served a great purpose. I will probably be going to them again next year when I am in town.

Hyde Park Wine & Spirits is a hit with us because they allow make-your-own 6'ers. Not a lot of places in our area allow for this and with their selection this makes for a great place to go for a variety pack. Especially for people like us who rarely finish a 6 pack before buying something new.

HPW&S doesnt always have many limited releases but its a safe bet that you will find Founders, Bells, Dogfish, and some of the other great breweries.

This is a liquor store as much as anything else and where its located expect to see a mixed crowd when you go. This is really why I nicked it a bit on the vibe. The beer is all on the left front side of the store and only a couple of the employees are pretty knowledgeable about what they offer and whats good (beerwise).

Oh and while you are there... swing by next door and get some of the best fried chicken in the city from Hitching Post!

One full aisle of beer does not seem like much but it is when they pack them in! It never seems to be too crowded which is good when you want to take your time and really browse. Sometimes it feels like your finding Waldo as you walk down the narrow aisle but take your time and you'll find what you need. If you need a hand the friendly staff are good at helping, but some deffinitely know more about beers then the others. I've gone digging here a couple of times with some success at finding some vintage brews.

Great selection of local, national and international beers as well!

A very very full single beer aisle in a store mostly dedicated to liquor and wine. Despite only having one aisle of beer it is PACKED! So much to choose from. Every brewery available in Ohio is there and almost always in stock. They always get plenty of the new releases and tough to find beers. Fairly high traffic so things don't stick around long but for the right person sometimes things can be held in the back. Occasionally vintage stuff will be pulled out of their cellar and make its way onto the shelves for a reasonable price as well which is nice

Finally visited this store not really knowing what to expect the beer section is not like others Im used to six packs and singles scattered across the floor with a policy of being able to pick in choose from different 6/4 packs. I found some great beers that are not made anymore and was able to finally try an Achel. Over all a very impressive selection several imports craft beers and microbrews, but it is pretty pricey i spent 37 on a six pack mind you one of them was 10 dollars . I will definitely go back. I would suggest any beer geek tp check this place out.

In Nati visting a friend and of course I look up the top place, thankfully and awesomely it was 2 miles from this house. I came in not expecting much because its Cincy but I came away shockingly surprised. They have two rows of beer, at least a hundred choices. American craft is well represented especially the midwest, tons of bells, troets, weyerbacher. International is ok, nothing special, the staples but nothing crazy. You can select singles out of all 6 packs which is awesome. I found 2007 pannepot for 6 bucks a bottle. Service was nice and the prices were the best. Everything was at least 20% below what is in Chicago. A must stop for beer when in Cincinnati.

I went here yesterday based on some suggestions from some kind BA's. They had a great selection and you could buy individual bottles from any 6 pack they had, which meant hundreds of options. They had most of the Alesmith special releases, some Allagash specials, Troegs, Great Lakes, tons of stuff. They even had KBS on the shelf!!! It was a 2 bottle limit at most places when it came out months ago and Hyde Park had some on the shelf. Great place, great pricing, I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Cincy.

One of the most enlightening and possibly intoxicating experiences I've had in my new hobby. I appologize for not remembering the name of the extremely helpful woman on duty, but I blame her for that... five test cups in, I was a little warm inside. Great selection for the limited space. Staff seemed more than willing to cater to my ignorance of the myriad of microbrews. If for no other reason, stop in to meet some great people and pick-up some of the best local and national brews. A great place to spend an hour.

This is a great little place tucked away in the fair city of Cincinnati. They've got a great selection for the beer space they have alloted. Some cold ones if you're looking to drink now (mostly a bunch of macros). The beer aisle has all kinds of goodies; it seems like no one here knows about their incredible selection. All of the Rochefort, Orval, lots of Weyerbacher, Stone, Left Hand, as well as some coveted KBS. If you make it to Cincinnati you owe it to yourself to hit up this place and one of the large markets (Party Source or Jungle Jim's); this place offers a smaller selection with a high quality threshold (ignoring the obligatory macros). Prices are also on par with places throughout SW Ohio.

Great place they have here. The people working really know what they are talking about and doing. I look forward to going here often. The prices are just about what I would expect them to be anywhere else. If I am looking for a special release or a hard to find beer, this is my 1st (sometimes second) stop. All of the good beer is not refridgerated so it can be perfect for cellaring or keeping in your non-fridge stock pile.

Along with the beer they have just about every kind of hard liquor you can imagine. Keep up the Good Work!
