This was a very impressive find in this very small town.
Yes, they do not know a lot about beer, but are very very courteous, and even helped me load my trunk after finding a lot of unexpected good beers.
A lot of americans, including Great Lakes, Left Hand, Flying Dog, Ommegang and others, plus an impressive selection of imports including Achel, Fuller's Vintage Ale, Corsendonk, a lot of different lambics, saisons and many others options.
Price was quite reasonable, and for some beers, better than any other places (Ommegangs were a lot cheaper than the average).

I remember when the field this place is built on was an overgrown and dying orchard. Never really was a fan of Main Street Market, I always liked the small general store across the road that is now long gone.
Imagine my surprise when I returned after years of being away from home. Thirsty looking for a beer that wasn't Miller Lite or Bud and find everything I had heard was happening in the Wisconsin Craft scene and even some of my favorites from Colorado and further West! They also had an impressive wine and spirits selection, so my wife was triple happy.... Is it possible that she was happier than me?
Go here and check them out!

Saw this place in the beerfly and figured I'd give it a look.
Typical small grocery store look and feel. About a 15 foot aisle three tiers high with a solid selection of craft bottle fropm all over the place. Including some decent imports. Thet had what looked like a very weak attempt at a mix singles section. Maybe 10-12 bottle total. Nice try.
I didn't encounter anyone who worked there so I can't really comment on that aspect.
Prices were a touch high but what price isn't jacked up in the "hamptons of the midwest"
Probably the largest craft selection I've seen in Door County. So if you need a fix and want a decent selection this is your spot.

If you are visiting Door County on vacation and need a beer fix, this is a great place. They carry New Glarus, Sprecher, Central Waters, Lakefront, Capital and Bells to name just a small sample. All the big imports are represented too including a nice area of Belgians. I didn't need any service help but the people working in the store seemed friendly. Prices on some beers are in line, others higher than you'd expect to pay. Given that Door Country is a summertime tourist haven, I really couldn't complain.

Best spot I found in Door County to pick up a good variety of brews. Being from New England, I was interested in grabbing some MW beers I can't typically get back home - left with a New Glarus variety pack, Bell Brewing, and Capitol Brewing. Lots of Leinenkugels there too. Decent selection of imports/Belgians/Brits but admitedly I wasn't looking at them too closely.
They have a mix a six section, but the selection was pretty dicey. I looked quickly, but couldn't come up with a set of six beers I wanted.
Staff very friendly and helpful. They carry the beer out to your car for you.
If you are in town for a week, definitely make a stop so you can fill your place with some quality MW brews.

Well after seeing some of the glowing reviews I decided to check this place out on my last trip to Door County and I was disappointed.
I entered through the main street door which is actually the back, there is a little area of macros, this dampens my spirits, I soon find the craft and import aisle but it's tiny. The top shelf has some Belgians (Chimay, Westmalle, Corsendonk Apple, La Chouffe) 2 Unibroues (not the entire selection), and some US bombers, 120 minute ipa, a few regionals, some import 6ers, and a few german pints but theres nothign really here that you cant find anywhere else, I was expecting some rarer Scandinavian or Belgian brews but nothing. It didn't even have stuff from the brewery across the street, luckily i found that at a road stand. The store is nice, and has a nice deli, bakery, and wine area, too bad I'm not into wine.
The employees here will always help you carry your stuff to your car.
Overall it is a good stop in the Door County area to get some good crafts to camp with at not too touristy prices but nothing too special.

probably the best stop for brews in Door County, but still short of a great stop overall. The section is buried in the back of the store with a bit in coolers up front.
A decent selection of micros from Wisconsin and the Midwest, along with a few imports, some single bottles and some six packs.
all the merchandise was clean and fresh looking, without any dust or old looking labels. prices are pretty standard, with some markups on the imported pints.
worth a stop for vacationers and on day trips, but nothing here that can not be found elsewhere outside of Door County.

Awesome store, especially for out of the way Door County. Tons of craft brews from all states and lots of imports, particularly Belgians are available. This market is about half booze so its a pretty fun place to shop in general but there really are great beers scattered everywhere. I was picking out some artisan cheeses in the deli and found a random stash of Orval. Then I was looking at some Gatorade (in preparation for the following morning) and found a load of sixers from Great Lakes. I kept finding beer all over the place - to the point where I didnt think they had an actual beer section. I was wrong. They do have a beer section and its huge, although not as large or impressive as their wine department (world class). I didnt talk to any staff who knew about beer but their buyer sure does. The staff who were present were all young, eastern European/Turkish, female, and cute so I couldnt complain. Highly recommended. Prices are a bit high but it's Door County.

Main Street Market is located in downtown Egg Harbor, and is primarily a grocery store, though it has a very impressive beer and wine selection for its size.
I suprised to find a pretty large selection of European imports, plus micros from all over the States. These include Dogfish Head, Victory, Rogue, Bell's, plus Wisconsin favorites New Glarus and Capital.
Unfortunately, you pay for the large selection with overpriced beer. New Glarus was $8.50 a sixer and most of the East Coast beers were $10 or $11. Still, Main Street Market seems to be the only place to find these excellent beers up here.

I grew up in Door county and get back there frequently. I actually used to shop at the Main Street Market (in the late 80's) but at that time, they had nowhere near the selection they have now. I decided to check them out again, after finding them listed in the beerfly...
Sure enough, the selection is very nice. I was able to find things there that aren't even available in Appleton or Green Bay. An example is the Great Lakes lineup....Elliot Ness, Edmund Fitzgerald, etc. I've never seen these locally but they are available in a town with less than 500 people. Go figure.
Nice selection of craft beers and imports. Must be over a hundred different beers in all (including macros). Picked up a Rogue Old Crustacean and a Rogue I2PA.
I didn't really know what to enter for service since I never looked for help because I didn't need any. Besides, this is a fairly busy grocery store for a small town. If I wanted help, it's pretty likely I'd have had to go search for it.
Some prices were a little high and others pretty much right on. I wish there was another price option for "average" I actually think this falls between reasonable and a bit pricey.
All in all, I'd consider this a diamond in the rough. A hidden gem that you'd never expect to find in a town this size. If you're going to Door County and find yourself in the bayside town of Egg Harbor, you have to check this place out. I good place to stock up if you're on your way up to vacation in America's Air Conditioned playgroud.
