I remember being in the Netherlands when I was 16 and I thought this beer was great. Well I can attribute that to being 16 because when I had this again recently I wasn't the slightest bit impressed. Poured a classic pilsner yellow with a foamy head that the bartender would whip the top off of with a strange little metal stick. Interesting. Not much aroma here but what youd expect of an average pilsner. Pretty bland flavor. Not horrible but just not great. I wouldn't seek this beer out but might go back to it once in a while to reminisce.

Oranjeboom Premium Lager (pilsener on rear label) pours a golden amber from a 12oz dark green glass bottle. Light cream colored head went well over two fingers before settling down to a light carpet of foam with broken ring.
Nose is a sweet yeasty malt with a very light bitter hops signature. Palate is a pleasantly sweet barley malt with a nice firm bitter hops and the bite of carbonation. An aftertaste of bitter hops lingers on the palate and adds to the overall mouthfeel and drinkability.
Not widespread in my area, but if Oranjeboom Premium Lager were readily available , I would be drinking more of it.

The beer evacuates the bottle a translucent gold color with the head massive in size, spumous in texture and a brilliant white color, the lace forms a thin skirt to let the sun shine through. Nose is sweet malt, also crisp and fresh to the senses, start is quite sweet, the malt adequate and the top skeletal in feel. Finish is modestly carbonated, the hops apropos to the style, drinkable, but Im reaching to give it an average rating. Well it is Good to be kind!

Light, straw-like appearance. Lively brew with a pillowy white overflowing head. On tap at our Amsterdam hotel bar. The Dutch barman skillfully swipes off the excess foam with a spatula. Light bread dough and hay aroma. The flavor is light, crisp but tasty, with subtle grassy hops. Finishes dry. Quite a fresh tasting and enjoyable pils.
