Pours a pale lager yellow with a half finger of white that melts to a constant ring being fed by tiny bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass.
Aroma is faintly grainy and biscuity.
Taste is a little bit of sweet pale malts then...nothing. Very, very little taste to speak of.
Aftertaste is...well, there was nothing to start with. Mouthfeel is thin and weak.
Very disappointing.

Picked up a bottle at the House of 1,000 for a dollar.
A - Pours a bit darker than most Euro lagers. A very bright orange with a 1/2 inch of head.
S - As expected mostly grains and mild hops with lemon grass and a touch of apple of pear tartness.
T - More sour than I expected but it balanced the grains and hops pretty well. Still not as refreshing as I wanted.
M - Light bodied went well with my Subway.
Overall it was worth grabbing up for a dollar pretty average Euro not quite pale lager.

Another TJ's grab. Poured into straight pint glass. Poured a clean, clear, bright yellow color with 1-1/2 inches of white head that had very good retention and OK lacing.
The aroma featured some very nice earthy grains, a bit of gentle hopping and wasn't overly sweet, as some of this style can be. The flavors were the same, nice grains, just a bit of balancing hops and, again, the beer wasn't as sweet as expected.
The body, while still thin, was on the fuller side of average for the style. Drinkability was pretty good, and would probably be very good on a hot day. Overall, a decent little brew that is a good value @$1.50 for 16oz can. Worth grabbing if you see it.

Canned on 11/6/11.
Pours a crystal clear orange with a 2 inch foamy orange-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of grain, sugar, and some fruity aromas. Taste is much the same but there is a weird metallic off flavor that is hard to get over. Only a slight hop presence is tasted here. This beer has a slightly flat mouthfeel with just a hint of carbonation. Overall, this is a pretty bad beer and definitely not something I would go after again.

It smells sweet, like honey, which comes from the malt. Maybe a slight presence of fruitiness from the hops, but maybe not.
The taste is even more sweet, almost cloyingly sweet. As I keep sipping it starts to become more crisp. Hardly any bitterness from the hops.
Overall pretty good for the style, but nothing I'd want to buy again .

A: One pint can that makes it very clear that this beer is IMPORTED. Seriously, the word imported appears half a dozen times. Brewed 1/11. Expiration 4/12 on the bottom of the can. Pours a pale straw color with excellent clarity. Head is white, two fingers, rapidly dissipating. Carbonation is lively.
S: Standard Euro pale lager. Slightly citric and grassy hops in the nose.
T: Fairly nondescript. Very middle of the pack as far as the style goes. If beer is liquid bread, this is a liquid cracker with a mild hop finish. Not stellar, but definitely not bad, either. Fairly clean finish with a minor lingering aftertaste.
M: Light feel, carbonated. Not terrible, not great. Again, this beer feels very average.
O: I knew what I was getting into when I bought the six pack. This is a European MGD. Bought at Trader Joe's for 5.99 for a six pack of 16 oz cans, so I guess I can't complain.

I poured this from an inch or so above the glass giving me a big white head that dies down into a decent lacing on a clear golden colored beer, nice looking very similar in appearance to Budweiser or the general class of beer.
This light bodied beer has a light sour sour citrus/lemon aroma that transfer well into the taste adding a little bitterness to itself.
This beer finishes with a light sour dryish aftertaste, not impressed seems to be run of the mill American light lager affair, if that's what they were after they nailed it , but why send it half way around the world when at least 500 companies now make this west of the Mississippi.

1 pint can from Trader Joes Salem. $5.49 a six pack. Typical yellow lager..but the white head is thick and frothy and attractive enough. Aroma is OK..bready mostly but not unpleasant. Flavour is mostly light cereal and bread..with the slightest grassy tinge of hop. Light on the palate but OK on this hot night NOt bad at all..a simple lager thats easy to drink on the deck in summer

pours a dark golden hue with a frothy two-plus finger head. minimal lacing.
smells like a euro lager. straw, grains, a hint of floral hops, and i can almost smell that odd bitter. reminds me of carlsberg elephant in the nose.
yep. there it is. funky bitterness that is neither hoppy nor malty, but somewhere in between. bitter like tin foil. some decent malt sweetness intermingles (but definitely does not meld) with the straw notes and the bitterness.
mouth is light, almost creamy, a touch thick, almost a bit slick. that lingering bitterness isn't quite drying, yet oddly almost cloying.
all in all, a decent euro pils/pale/lager/whatever it is. it's a bit funky, but at the price, it ain't half bad. but it's not good enough to track down again.

A: A light amber color with a quickly dissipating head, although it looks decent with the head on it, it never sticks around for long.
S: Sharp with fruit and punchiness immediately detectable
T: Fruit characters with a definite caramel character hinted at. Strong hop presence, a bit bitey
M: Very carbonated. Reminds me of pop-rocks
Got this beer on a whim and after eying the $20 price-tag. Not a bad beer, especially for the price. It is interesting to say the least. The caramel elements were a definite surprise. I had to get the second beer down to convince myself they were actually there.
A great summer beer, I conclude.

In a can!
Pours a very light amber with a healthy, densely packed white head. Attractive.
Aroma is disappointing, flat and grainy. Not inoffensive, however.
Flavor is interesting, if a little gritty. Not much bitterness at all, but there's a nice cohesion to the whole thing. Maybe a bit too sweet, but not overbearing. Oddly similar to Tetley's English Ale (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/8535/706).
Mouthfeel could have been a bit more active, but I do like the creaminess of it quite a bit.
Overall, not a bad brew. And for the price -- 1.25 a pint -- a good value.

Pours a clean golden yellow with active carbonation. Scent is pale and hints of some mild sweetness with some stale earthy hops on the backend. Mildly sweet pale malts are the dominant taste, but as mentioned above some earthy, yet lightly stale hops are present. Lighter body, a tad more umph then some more well known euro lagers. Not a bad beer - not very good by any means, but not bad.

Picked up a 6'r of tall-boy cans from Barons Market in Point Loma for $5.99 and drank them straight from the can.
A: As I mentioned above - I drank these from the can and just averaged the score with the rest of the review.
S: Sweet and grainy malt right off the bat, hay and dry grass, with a slight hint of hop at the end that is floral and piney. I think it's worth mentioning that in comparison to most cheap lagers, especially in the States, the hop aroma on this beer puts most lagers at the same price range to shame.
T: Pretty much on point with the nose - fairly good balance between the hop and malt, though the sweetness of the malt is the dominant flavor, but damn - for the price/style this is a pretty tasty beer.
M/D: Light bodied, somewhat fizzy, but not unpleasant, finishes clean without a funk aftertaste (like Heineken for example). This is a ridiculously easy drinker, especially in the can - all day/all night drinker, no problem.

super golden
lacy foam, small carb bubbles
pine and sweet/hops smelling, alochol.
the main taste is hops bitterness with little sugar in the aftertaste, but the alcohol is well balanced, not too compex but but for less than a dollar a good little beer.
fairly light in body

A: The beer is clear golden yellow in color and has a very light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that gradually faded away, leaving only a thin ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Sweet aromas from the malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and is dominated by malty sweetness; there are some notes of spicy hops in the finish.
M: It feels light-bodied and somewhat watery on the palate with a light to moderate amount of carbonation.
D: There's nothing overly special about this beer, but it definitely goes down very easily.

A- semi-persistant white head. Clear golden brown body with minimal carbonation. Head dies down to very thin lace.
S- Not too unique. Hops and floral with a malty base. Fairly sweet smelling, but that's about it.
T- Distinct ethanol. Definite hops bitterness, especially at end. Bitter, yet not too strong in the aftertaste. Slightly watery and a little sweet toward beginning. Crisp and refreshing, pretty good.
M- Thin bodied feels ok, leaves a little on palate.
D- Very easy to down.

It's an ice day, as opposed to being a nice day, and I have been given the day off. I saw where Don Younger, owner of Portland's Horse Brass Pub passed away and so I will review this beer in his memory. I was personally introduced to him by my editor/publisher, Tony Forder, at GTMW 2006 and again at that year's GABF and I ran into Don several times during the 2007 OBF. His establishment remains the last at which I was flagged and 86'd although a) he was not there at the time and b) I had not had a drop that day! The bartender told me that she had seen me passed out at the OBF the previous day and that my ilk was not welcomed. When I defended my sobriety and asked for a beer, I was told to leave and in one quick hurry or I would be escorted out. Ha! RIP, Don! Save me a seat, because wherever you are, I will be joining you.
Let's get these horses on the road! Coming out of the gate, I had an explosive finger-and-a-half of bone-white head that was destined for the glue factory. The color was a deep golden-yellow with NE-quality clarity. The yellow horses were off and running! It looked like a good start coming out of the gate. Nose had a typical lager sweetness, unencumbered of adjuncts or saddles. Bareback, baby, that's the way to ride! Yee hah. The mouthfeel was not as thunderous as a team of horses might be expected, but there was an initial honey-like lager sweetness followed by a rush of Noble hops. Coming into the final turn, the earthy, grassy hops won out over the sweetness on the finish. I was pleasantly surprised, especially since this came in a green bottle, which is one of my least favorite presentations. Would these 3 Horses win Best In Show? Probably not, but they did show up at my place and all bets were off, so I'm going to (s)table this discussion until I CAN try it from a CAN. Enough!

Clear gold with two fingers of white head. Very well laced. Aroma is floral hops. Taste is malty, somewhat sweet with a moderate Pilsner medium dry bitter finish. Mouthfeel is good for the style. Brewed under contract by Hofbrauhaus Wolters in Germany according to the can label. A decent German Pils at a bargain price. Same as the pint six pack cans from Trader Joes. Quite sessionable at 5.0% abv.
