lacing, head, lacing!! this is insane! thick sticky resinous lacing, an opaque orange pour.. smells of pine, grapefruit, honey, grass, caramel. citrus bitterness up front followed by a charred bitterness, hint of spicy bitterness as well. a very well hidden sweet malty backbone is there as well.. damn this is bitter!!
medium body, slight carbonation, creamy and sticky on the lips. feel a bit of alcohol warmth as well.
overall this is an awesomely bitter hop bomb. a bit of a slap in the face with the ridiculous amounts of lacing caused from the resinous hops. love it!

Pours a tawny gold, hazy and doesn't form alot of head yet manages to leave an attractive ring of lacing behind. Retention is basically none since there was no head to begin with.
Hops dominate but beneath lies a steady honey dipped grain and caramel malt backbone. Tropical hops of mangoes, papaya, sweet pineapple with some stock pine and red citrus. Floral yet very sweet with a tinge of alcohol.
Ample malt comes in with a tight bready and honey profile some sweetening molasses and caramel sneak in before a blast of citrus and piney hops, the aftertaste is a very pungent pine that balances the sweetness of the malt and alcohol barely detectable on the back end as the beer dries with a big pine note.
Average body weighed down by the yeast. Moderate and appropriate carbonation, the sweetness hides the alcohol and the hops balance nicely. Dries well.
Really good DIPA to satisfy the hop fix. A bit heavy and dank for the summer but made for San Diego where the May and June months are kept under a cloud and temperatures moderate. Tropical and robust come to mind with this brew.
Like Port's Mongo but it hides it's alcohol better. The sweetness might be overwhelming for some but drunk chilled, it balances out the hops in an ideal manner. Fruity and tropical aroma that translates somewhat into the taste. Overall a great DIPA and one to revisit annually.

Oooo dat a smooth sucker. Yeah buddy. Ending the night with this bad boi cuz Raul just knows how. Smoother than Aishwarya Rai after getting threaded, Raul is done into the silky smoothness of this lil thang. Purring like a Panther, Raul wants to dig his claws into more.
Beautiful like a poltergeist, Raul says,"boo!"

Pours a very murky golden orange
Smell: sweet, mangos, brown sugar, candied malt
Taste: hop assault. Juicy orangey citrus, some pine and subtle tropical fruit, sweet malt with burnt sugar, finishes deliciously piney with grapefruit, and mango
Feel: medium-full bodied with bite, mellow carbonation, drinkable
Love it. The beer that slaughtered my palate and immediately converted me to hopsy glory years ago.

A: A hazy pale almost orange yellow body with a two finger off white head.
S: Very potent aroma. Pine, floral, bitter, and grapefruit notes dominate the nose. There is some caramel there but this one is all hops.
T: This is a hop bomb. Intense bitterness with citrus, grapefruit, and pine flavors. Again, there is some caramel trying to come forward but the hops overpower everything else. Very (and probably intentionally) unbalanced.
M: Nice heavy body with sharp carbonation.
O: I f you like unbalanced hop bombs this is one you will enjoy, if not I would avoid.

A: Murky autumn orange color shows an impressive 3 finger pitted foam ivory monster atop that sits oh so stubbonly. Good sign of micro-effervesce within. Thick clarity, chunky loads of foam stick well to the vessel walls as the head slowly retreats leaving a standing towering centerpiece.
S: Sticky pine and grapefruit wit a moderate to good level of awareness. A hint of dry pineapple is thrown in.
T: The flavor is huge and sticky of resinous hop oils and grapefruit and pine. Small warming of alcohol combines with the dry hops of citrus. High rate of bitterness, good level of flavor, sticky, thick hop bomb that still maintains a good level of balance between bitterness and flavor. Warm oranges, warm dry pineapple rounds things out in the huge sticky hop soup.
M: The mouthful is sticky and thick, loads of resinous hop oils and malts combine with the alcohol to give this a good glow. Slighting this to good is injustice.
O: Overall the abv goes to 10.0 here, the hops go spinal tap to 11. A worthy anniversary hop bomb that is huge and sticky, bitter and delightful.
