my review of this was deleted when the site crashed, but I remember it pretty well. pours thick and black with a dark brown head. the smell is dominant with bourbon and oak. there is also a lot of chocolate and roasted malts present.

The flavor seems less complex than old viscosity. the bourbon kind of takes over and doesn't allow the great flavors of the regular version to shine. still, there is chocolate, caramel, molasses, and burnt, roasty malts. very hot on the palate and in the finish. pretty damn good overall, but old viscosity is better.

mouthfeel is disgustingly undercarbonated, which is difficult to do with a RIS. it is nice and thick though.
