Draft pour into a shaker pint glass at Beachwood BBQ.

A: Clear, medium golden color with one finger of persistent, snow-white foam head. Heavy lacing remains on the glass.

S: The smell is underwhelming, with muted grapefruit citrus hops and slight sulfur.

T: Begins with spicy, and lesser floral, hop aromatic flavors that energize the palate but fade quickly. The hops take on a grapefruit pith quality in the middle along with the revealing of some pilsner malt. The bracingly bitter finish comes quickly, but does not linger.

M: Light-medium viscosity, slightly sticky/resiny, with moderate carbonation.

D: This beer is a beauty to gaze upon in the glass. That said, it merits tasting, with some other impressive qualities exemplified by an initial effervescent burst of spicy hops that flood the palate with sensory overload. This is a delicious beer that should be paired with absolutely nothing for maximum enjoyment.

Bottled last October so this one could be a little fresher but either way I'm gonna try it. The beer poured out as a nice hazy yellow color with a fluffy white head on top. The retention and lacing is pretty good. The smell of the beer is pretty bright and lively, the Centennial overpowers the Simcoe. The taste of the beer is citrusy with a bit of pine in the finish. Not much malt sweetness. The mouthfeel has a little too much carbonation but still drinkable. Overall I want a fresh bottle just to see the difference. Still good though after a few months.
