Bottled 7/24 Consumed 8/28 About as fresh as I've seen this beer in NorCal.

A - Vibrant light orange, almost yellow and a bit hazy. A bit lighter in orange color than your typical west coast IPA. Almost tells me the citrus is most likely lemony. Huge head on this one and the bubbles quite honestly are not very tight BUT keeps a head throughout the tulip glass from start to finish. So I'll be generous here.

S - Weird. Fragrent but muted if that makes sense. Lemon citrus, muted melon and oranges. Light pine and a very faint belgian Banana yeast thing going on but you really have to look for it. Not bad by any means.

T - All the same as the nose but a bit better. There really is nothing wrong with this beer. Everything is done right for the west coast style. Nothing that will blow you away, but at the same time, I wouldn't change much about it minus the mouthfeel which I'm about to get into.

M - A bit overcarbonated (compensating for other issues...Haha, I kid I kid) but it still keeps the beer crisp. Nice dry finish and a wee bit bitter, sucking moisture out of your mouth which I don't mind at all, so long as it's followed by resinous, oily hops in the finish which isn't the case here. Still good though.

O - Solid IPA when fresh. Recommended.

This bottle is 6 months old so we'll see how it goes.

A: Pours hazy yellow with an orange hue. Huge, frothy, white head. This one is lively.

S: Slight citrus, grassy hops. Not all that aromatic and not nearly as hop forward as I like in an IPA.

T: Taste is malty and citrus hops. Again, hops are not as pronounced up front as I would like although they do show up in the form of a bitter finish.

M: Medium bodied and very lively. Slightly overcarbonated.

O: This one is a disappointment for me. Where are the hops in this West Coast IPA? Very average and forgettable, IMO. I definitely wanted to like this more. I'll have to try again with a fresher bottle.
