look: 4 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.25 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5

Appearance: Slightly hazy golden orange color with little bubbles of carbonation floating towards a thin soapy off-white head. Pretty much picture perfect for the style but appearances are hardly ever mind-blowing.

Aroma: Caramel and a hint of toffee in the malt department. Some pine and a little citrus where the hops are concerned.

Taste: A nice burst of bitterness straight away but that quickly dies out and the palate becomes a little watery. Usual caramel and english malts are present along with a sweet lemony hoppyness. The breweries website says that this is meant to be a 'thirst quenching IPA' which I'd agree with. But the end result is an IPA that doesn't focus enough of good hop flavor.

Mouthfeel: Between thin and medium in body with just above average effervescence and easy drinkability.

Final Thoughts: Definitely a starter/transition IPA for someone just getting into craft. It doesn't contain the real flavor and bitterness that hopheads are interested in. Would I drink it again? No.

This IPA had a nice honey color. It was lighter than other IPAs I've had, hops-wise. It lingered in the back of my throat and the tip of my tongue, but not unpleasantly. It had a thicker head than the other two Full Sails I tried, but it's still a pretty thin beer overall. It's a satisfactory beer, but nothing too special.

This was a 12oz bottle from a full case I found at Brewskees of New Oxford ($31.59).

Look: Poured a super clear bronze color with some minimal carbonation and lacing.

Smell: Some faint notes of fresh cut grass. Also some signs of fusel alcohol.

Taste: Not much for taste. First up was some notes of citrus. Then a bitterness set in. The finish had some sort of fusel alcohol notes. Almost like this batch fermented a little too hot. Finish was clean.

I have to admit, I’ve had homebrew batches turn out better than this one. The off flavors really take away from the drinkability, otherwise the beer would atleast have that going for it.
