Pours a clear gold with a foamy beige head that settles to sparse wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, wheat, and grain aromas. Taste is much the same with wheat and sour lemon-like flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but the smell is lacking any indication of sourness and what sourness is coming across in the flavor is fairly subdued.

A - pours a crystal clear golden light orange/copper color, like a filtered apple juice, with a very brief pencil-thin white head that dissipates almost immediately, probably owing to the protein-degrading lactobacillus
S - a white grape/green apple acidity greets the nose at first sniff, with a mix of fresh hay grassiness and a sourdough breadiness - all fragrances you would expect and all welcome
T - kind of a restrained liquid sourdough bread taste with some slight green apple notes notes that remind me of drinking a fruit-flavored soda
M - very high carbonation gives the proper full mouthfeel to accompany the slight tartness; there's more of a lingering, persistent afterthought of a tart flavor rather than a smack you across the face tartness
D - like any good berliner weisse, this is a drinkable beer that one doesn't think before reaching for another sip - it's reflexively drinkable, though I would be more interested in a beer that was less objectionable: more tart and perhaps more funky with a little brett character, yet this is a berliner weisse for the masses and one can't fault a beer with that label

Pale ale appearance with khaki colored head.
Moldy lemons aroma, in a good way.
Tart moldy lemon and apple flavor. Mild on the cereal and strong on the tart compared to other Berliner Weisses.
Enjoyable dryness with mild astringency. Not particularly heavy or light in the mouth, on par for style.
Easy to enjoy, drink, and buy sour. At $5 price point it was a regular session sour. Favorite example of Berliner Weiss, albeit on the tart side for style. Wish Full Sail still made this.

Sample I got fizzed like the dickens, but not for too long once I got some into a mug. Aroma has a strong fruity, yeasty overtone with a tart apple note and a woody hint of hops. It pours a slightly hazy solar yellow with a thick, if not too persistent, fluffy white head. Flavor is quite tart, mainly fruity with a hint of malt - drinks more like a cider than a beer, still crisp and refreshing. Texture has average body and fizz. OK, not Full Sail’s best, but a decent effort.

Poured from a bomber into a half-pint chalice.
A: Slightly hazy, medium golden color with one finger of diminishing white foam head. No lacing remains on the glass.
S: Aggressively acidic and bready at first, but clean. Grain becomes husky over time but fruit qualities are notably absent.
T: Begins dry, with early tartness followed by wheat and sparse medicinal hops. Acidity drops off before the middle, exposing some rather plain, doughy base malt. The finish possesses a fine but distinct bitter thread with qualities of stale hops and some berry.
M: Thin to medium viscosity, wet and a little grainy at times, with brisk carbonation.
D/O: Easy to drink, this beer tastes like a slightly malty soft drink rather than a real sour ale. It is saved by its smell, which seems respectable from top to bottom.

Appearance is golden light supporting a thin crisp head that dissipates quickly leaving no lace. Smell is light on the nose with malt, wheat and lemon citrus. Taste has the malt, wheat and a sour lemon that chases to the end. Mouthfeel is light with good carbonation. certainly wakes the mouth up with that punch of tart.

22oz. Bomber
Enjoy By: 9.17.12
Pours a nice clean/clear golden light yellow color, nice carbonation, with a nice one-finger foamy white head, not much sticky lacing left behind at all. The nose is mostly malty, slight hop note, citrusy. The taste is pretty tart, malty, with a slight hoppiness. Medium body. Overall, considering it is over 2 months old (Thanks Fucking SLS) I believe it is not fair to really judge this one, but I would not buy it again, and I have to get in the fucking business to start checking out fuckn' labels in the State Liquor Stores, their such FUCKING ASSHOLES!

This is going to be difficult to review because I am not very familiar with the Weissbier style.
Obviously, this is sour, which may be the goal.
Feel is crispy with a slight zing at the back of the throat.
Head is minimal but apparently not expected of the style.
Flavors are definitely lemony. I wonder how this pares with the syrups as described in the treatment of Weissbiers in Berlin.
I like the smell. Seems clean, lemony.
Even though it's supposed to be sour, I can't say the taste of this beer by itself is something I shoot for in a beer.
Perhaps this is a true connoisseur's beer. I won't know till later. ;)

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a footed highball glass.
Appearance: It poured with good head, nice white, fluffy, stuck around long enough to enjoy. Not much lacing. Nice golden yellow color, not much opacity, it looks like a light weissbier.
Smell: On the sweet side with low hops and nice wheat notes. Nothing extraordinary.
Taste: Light sweetness with light honey, wheat taste, some spice notes. Light tartness. Medium sourness is pronounced with swishing. Balance between sweet and sour is missing.
Mouthfeel: Medium carbonation. Works for me.
Overall, not a great weissbier, just okay.

Poured from 22oz bomber into a tulip.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a touch of haze and a moderate effervescence. Head is a thin finger of frothy white foam without much retention at all. Nothing special.
Smell: aroma of damp, spent grain and a little hint of tartness. There's a hint of floral character here as well. I like Berliner weissbiers a lot, but this doesn't entice me at all.
Taste: more interesting than the aroma. Right off the bat is a piquant tartness, followed by a grainy malt flavor and a little bit of a sticky sweet finish. A cereal-like character finishes out the experience. Perhaps not the best in the world, but I like the tartness level.
Mouthfeel: light body with a big carbonation and a good, mouth-filling effervescence. Quite good.
Overall: this beer has some flaws, but it has a good tartness and a decent feel.

22 oz bottle. Pours clear light gold with a medium fizzy white head that goes to a thin film and laces the glass some.
The aroma is sweet honey malts with a little fruit and spice.
The flavor is sweet honey malts with a slight dry sour twang in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to light bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, it's an OK berliner weisse - a little on the sweet side.

Chris's Summer Delight is the color of a dirty sunset, a cloudy, yellow-orange gradient with a big, soapy, lacy white head. There is not much of an aroma, but it smacks lightly of wheat, tart lemon and white grapes, almost like a Chardonnay. The flavor is similar (light graininess and wheat, some fruitiness), but with a puckering sourness more in the vein of Sour Patch Kids and lemon juice than most sour beers. Summer Delight is extra dry and refreshing, and is a good palate cleanser -- it would pair well with light salads and seafood or mild cheeses like Havarti or fruit-laden goat cheese. (I paired it with gummy worms. It was good. Don't judge.)

A-Pours a translucent honey color. Head is quite thin. It doesn't even span the entire body of the beer. Head leaves random lines of lacing.
S-Light tartness. Green apples and wheat. Light spice. Overall aroma is faint. But there definitely is a nice tart aspect.
T-The tartness isn't intense but it is noticeable, and dare I say quite attractive. A bunch of unripened green apples. Wheaty and lightly spiced. They actually did a really good job here. I wasn't expecting the tartness to be as noticeable as it was.
M-Light but there is some respectable body. Lively carbonation. A bit sticky. Quite drinkable.
O/D-Couldn't pass up on a cheap Berliner. Full Sail did a great job on this unique style. At under $5 a bomber, this was a decent deal too. I thought this was pretty awesome. Underrated.

A - pours a surprisingly clear golden honey color. Two fingers worth of Bubbly, frothy white foam on top quickly dissipates to a ring around the rim.
S - the nose is full of sweet banana peel, and strong yeasty, bready notes. A light peppery spice character hangs in the background along with a touch of lemon zest.
T - Light flavors up front. Flakey crackers mostly. Racy acidity enters shortly after. The center is round with a more bready, yeasty character. Hints of sweet banana fruit character balance the mouthwatering acid. Long and strong lemon pith finish.
M - smooth and round. Lighter side of medium bodied. High carbonation with tight scrubbing bubbles.
O - a refreshing summer beer. I could drink this all day long.

22oz : tulip
Clear golden with a thick, foamy white head that dissipates fairly quickly.
Not much tartness in the nose. More of a clean, crisp maltiness. The tartness does come through in the taste.
Medium body with low, prickly carbonation.
A decent beer, but very one dimensional overall, a bit disappointing.

Served from the bottle into a tulip glass
A- Poured a very clear light golden color with tons of streaming carbonation, pretty big fluffy/soapy head that stuck around but left no lace
S- Big white grape, peach, apricot, lemon, and some white wine flavors make a very aromatic and sweet aroma
T- Lots of white grape, peach, and apricot flavors, some lemon. A nice tartness to it, but not as sour as many others I have had in the style
M- Super light mouthfeel, lots of prickly carbonation. This really goes down like water, it is refreshing, but not really much body at all
O- Great blend of fruit flavors in this beer with a really nice tartness. This would be a great introductory sour beer. The body of this beer is super light, great on a really hot day, but on any other day the body could be underwhelming.

22 oz bottle from "Lifesource" Salem. $4.79. Clear golden brew with a weird yet nice sort of peach color tinge to it ( might be my eyes), large thick, frothy white head. Yeasty aromas.. mainly dough slight barnyard and malts...mostly bread-like. Taste is slightly acetic/tart....then fades off with some bready malt in the back..aftertaste is rice vinegar. Mouthfeel is OK its highly drinkable when its hot and muggy like right now. I wonder if this would go good with some cordial/syrups? As it is its acceptable

A - Poured out a hazy, pale golden yellow color with a small, fizzy, egg shell white head. It left very little lacing on the glass.
S - It smelled yeasty and tart with green apple notes. Some wheat-like aromas, too.
T - Good tart green apple flavor. A slight yeasty spiciness with some cracked wheat flavors. A touch of caramel sweetness.
M - Very crisp and sharp with just a slight pucker factor. A light to medium bodied ale.
O - This is a refreshing and tasty Berliner Weiss. I really enjoyed this brew.

Slightly tart on the nose. Summer fruits: peaches, apricots, sour cherries. Very fresh and light on the nose, quite inviting.
Dark straw in color with a crisp white head. slightly hazy but clear enough to see carbonation streaming to the top of the glass. No speakable lacing at all.
Sour slightly in the flavor. Lemon, peach, apricot, and other summer fruits. It's crisp, refreshing, a great lawnmower beer. Lots of carbonation dances and clears the palate and finishes very dry. Overall it's not bad, but it's not blowing up my skirt.

22 ounce bottle - $4.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a clear, delicate golden-hued body with an inch-plus head of white foam.
Smell: Cereal grains and wheat soaked leisurely in sour lemon juices with a yogurt-esque lactic hint enveloping it.
Taste: A touch of sweetened grains, then a lemony, citrusy twang pops on the tongue. Light vegetal tones. The lactic quality is there, but it's pretty mild not quite allowing for a full-on pucker (or even a near-pucker grimace). Some minerals and more of the mild lactic character on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: I found it to be both pleasant and quite refreshing, which was what I was looking for in this beer.

The body appears pale yellow and slightly hazy with a a decent, lasting white head. There is a bread-like aroma to the beer along with a slight tang. A powerful citrus tang and sourness dominates the taste. The body comes across as light, sharp, clean with a very soft effervescence from the carbonation.
I can't positively say how close this is to the Berliner Kindl that I used to drink back in the mid-80s when living in Berlin, but it's seems like a faithful stab at the style to the best of my recollection. Perhaps about more sour than the Kindl, but definitely hitting the style description as listed in BA. A nice alternative to a traditional German hefeweizen.

OK, this is a little too clean for a Berliner weiss, but it's a tasty summer beer nevertheless. The aroma is soft and bready with a toasted edge. Light caramel and more fresh-baked bread malts fill the flavor. There's a mild sour tang and it's pleasant enough, but this beer is too clean to be a true example of the style. Of course, you can just call it the American wheat version of a Berliner weiss and enjoy it for what it is.

Jon starts the day off right!
Straw-colored body holds up finely-bubbled white head. Doesn't smell like much, save some underlying citrus and remains of dry yeast. Taste is similarly faint: hints of lime peel peek at my taste buds amidst the lacto base. Barely tart because it barely has any flavor. Very light, eminently quaffable; the epitome of a session beer.
Decent overall, though I'm a firm believer that Berliners should be fruited. Funky Buddha has spoiled me.

Appearance is clear gold with a big white head made by a steady spritz of bubbles. Rocky, foamy lace.
Smell is fruity and a little tart.
Taste is pretty mild, just a lactic tartness, which is quite refreshing, but very simple. There's a hint of graininess to remind me it's beer, but it's really a simple, water, tarty drink. Not as estery as it smell, which is a bit of a bummer, as it would have added a second note of flavor.
Mouthfeel is very light, spritzy.
Drinkability is fine, it's a guzzler, very refreshing, just not one to instill much reflection.

Tasted 15 July 2012, reviewed from notes. Not many berliner weisses available around here, and I love them as a summer beer. So I couldn't pass up this inexpensive bottle.
Pours a medium golden yellow, clear, with 1 finger of white head. Good retention and lacing, and tons of visible carbonation.
Smell is pretty funky, with a faint corny grain smell.
Taste is pretty flat - watery with a bit of funky tart. Not really what I look for from a Berliner weiss. Want more substance, more fill, not just that mini sour kick.
Mouthfeel is good. Tingly carbonation, light body, fairly water, with a quick dry finish.
I really like this style, but this one didn't do it for me. Not bad, but not great. Taste is flat and empty compared to others I've had.
