Notes:
"Our Pale Ale has a fresh, hoppy aroma that comes from two (top secret) Northwest hop varieties, while two-row Pale and Crystal malt give it a mild sweetness that finishes clean and crisp. Feeling out of whack? Put on some music, crack a Pale Ale, and readjust your balance.

Expiration date of 012309.
Appearance- A fairly aggressive pour produces nearly 2 fingers of white head that quickly settles into a thin, creamy film on top of a light orange-gold beer with a thin blond bottom. A nice lacing crawls its way all the way down the glass.
Smell- Initially, the nose is dominated by lemon and citrus hops with a bit of a malt backing. As it warmed, a sweetness came out along with much more graininess. The last fourth of my beer started to smell borderline offensive. The hops and malt formed this rotten orange type of sent that I was not a fan of. I think I should have taken fewer notes and put this beer down the hatch while it was colder.
Taste- The hops in the flavor are a mix of floral, and citrus (lemon, orange rind), with the floral taking the lead. A decent amount of nice maltiness sweeps in towards the end and smooths everything out. This beers flavors are pretty straight forward and not all that exciting. I'm not a huge fan of the types of hops used, but the malts are pretty solid.
Mouthfeel- Fairly thin in the mouth without a lot of carbonation. I'll say the low end of medium. Not much wearing on the tongue from the hops with the good malt balance.
Drinkability- If I enjoyed the hop flavors more, this beer would score much higher as it goes down quick and easy. As it is, I could definitely put down a few when they are nice and cold, but the flavors really don't do it for me, and there are many better options out there.
Note: Full Sail doesn't get a lot of hype for some of their outstanding Reserve beers (BA Top Sail for example), and I think it's probably due to incredibly mediocre year round offerings like this. I wish they could supply me with some quality everyday beers instead of just limited releases/seasonals.
