From notes 5/10/14.

A foamy white froth fills the mug and hesitates before floating away. Color is a clear, pale yellow with faint orange hues. Smells of fresh cut hay, lemon and sugar. Slightly musty. Tastes of grain, lemon zest, melon and hops with a slight sugary sweetness. So flavorful and balanced.

This is what a Pils can be and what a Pils should be, and no other beer in the world, no matter how rare or big or expensive could beat this one at this moment in time.

Clear golden yellow with a foamy white head.

Grainy, typical "Full Sail" beer profile that I find in most of heir beers. Not unpleasant, but again, the same familiar profile.

A: brilliant gold to straw, 2” foam cap dissipates to thick film
S: a little grain on the nose, floral, grapefruit.
T: the maltiness is there but is well attenuated. A little sweetness up front but finishes dry and crisp. Crisp, bitter grapefruit rind finish, finishes dry to medium dry. No fruity esters, no diacetyl, some grainy flavors, no corn.
F: Stands out for its texture and creaminess. Medium body, medium high carbonation
O: It's too bad this is no longer brewed. I drank a lot of it last summer.

It's NOT a Pilsner not even close in the traditional sense, but boy does it drink nice it's really growing on me! The look is the closest and best part, but it really is a Pilsner session IPA and a good choice for a new beer drinker to work their way into the APA IPA arena. I've never been a fan of "Full Sail" they just lack in making competitive beers, but this while not in proper category is one of the best I've tried.... I picked these up on close out for $1.60. and now wish I would have bought all of them.

Not bad, the hop character is brighter and more citrusy than a normal pils, but minimally so. Kind of muddy and lacking in clean character for a lager. Drinkable, but not impressive.

Poured into my pint as a light golden-in-appearance beer with minimal visible carbonation and a decent white header. Some lacing.
Smells of some tropical fruit as far as some light hops in the nose, a hint of sweet cherries.
This tastes just as I could have hoped after smelling it. Red-cherry-tropical fruit, light bread and sweet malts. Great balance with the pilsner malts and Oregon hops. Some bitterness, and a floral/ herbal aspect. Tasty.
Medium-thin bodied and nicely carbonated, creamy.
This was very nice. With a craft market saturated with hop-forward ipa's , this offers a satisfying fix of hops that are used in a refreshing way in pils fashion.

Looks like this beer isn't retired any more.... An excellent pils! Never knew one could use cascade hops to do a good pilsner, but this proves Full Sail at least, can. Really a terrific beer, excellent for hot weather, or any time.
