Hit this bar up before the Red Sox/ Mariners game. We got in right as it opened and ordered a sampler fo local microbrews. I'd never been to a bar that you can order samples of different beers on tap. Very cool idea. The waitress wrote them down on a napkin in order and served them on a school lunch tray. Very dressed down and I liked it. Ordered an awesome artichoke, crab dip, and and crab BLT. Awesome food, great beer, even struck up some good sports talk with the locals. Hit this place before seahawks and mariners games.

Stopped in here after an afternoon of wandering Seattle.
The atmosphere is quite pleasant, seems to be a more upscale bar. It was quiet without a lot of televisions.
The beer selection was all high quality stuff with stuff like Pliny the Elder, Black Raven Wisdom Seeker, and La Foile on tap.
The service was friendly yet not over attentive which I like.
The food is good and about the right price for eating in the area.
The prices seemed reasonable.
Overall this is a pretty good spot to get beer if you are downtown, while not as good as some other Seattle bars, it is very much worth stopping at.

The atmosphere in Collins Pub is nice. The inside isn't overloaded with televisions like many other places and has paintings from local artists on the walls. There is a small patio that goes out on to the street as well.
The beer list has about 50 to choose from, with a respectable amount of Belgian selections. On tap was about 12 mostly mediocre local craft selections.
The service was very attentive and friendly. The bartender created a cocktail for my girlfriend which he invented that was actually quite tasty.
The food was good at this place as well. Although we only ordered dessert, it was great and the other selections on the menu looked good as well as they passed our table.
Value was decent.
Overall, I would go back to this place as it is relatively close to the hotel I typically stay at and a good place to go and chat.

Made my first visit today. I walked in surprised to see only a few other customers. It was immaculately clean, the atmosphere relaxed. There was only one server on hand, who happened to be doubling as bartender. I took this as a bad sign, but never felt ignored and my glass was never empty without her stopping by to ask if I'd like something else. Some fantastic beers on tap! I wished I could've tried more, but I was limited by the strength of the two I did purchase. I would've rated the selection higher if they had a little more variety. I almost feel I'm cheating them by giving them "only" a four, but the selection begged for a good stout or porter! The food was pretty good, and I'd happily go back and try some other dishes.
2 beers and fish and chips and my bill came in at uner $20! What a bargain! Know this Collins Pub! I shall return!
Have been back 2 or 3 times since then and was impressed by the selection. Stouts, Porters, Pilsner ... they've added a lot to the tap selection! Unfortunately the service is pretty bad. More often than not, I'm nearly ignored or treated poorly. A shame because I really want to like this place.

Just returned from Collins Pub. A slightly upscale bar with an excellent tap list. Very focused on the local brews. The only criticism would be that they are heavy on the IPAs and light on more sessionable ales, reds/browns/porters/etc. But that is a reflection of the region and most likely their customers tastes.
I had a nice crisp kolsch, followed by Double Mountain Vaporizer extra pale and Hopworks IPA. Very nice selections all around suggested by a well versed bartender. The service was sometimes a little slow, but very knowledgeable and accommodating. Other brews at the table included Firestone Walker's pale, an oatmeal stout and a black IPA.
The food was excellent, at the table there was the risotto, the sausages, a burger and fish and chips. All very tasty fare.
Excellent grub, good brews, a nice (though IPA heavy) selection. Thank you Seattle.

We stopped in on our walking tour of Seattle. We were on our way back from Elysian Fields and Pyramid. The place wasn't very busy but was a comfortable venue. The warm woods, glass and private booths gave it an upscale appearance.
They had a nice local selection and some surprises from our neck of the woods(Southern Tier). We enjoyed a couple of beers there. I believe they had about 20 taps and an impressive choice of bottles from all over.
We didn't eat, but the menu looked great. Unfortunately, we never made it back there, but I would recommend it for all to try. The bartender had lived in Cherry Hill, NJ for a while! Small world!

The owner Seth is a super cool guy and he knows his beer. The Selection is great and the food is very good. He kept bringing beer after beer to taste. He knows about styles outside of the northwest which is great and rare in Seattle. His cook is great and the places clears out a lot after happy hour which I loved. His staff is great too. Brought a bunch of my friends with me one night got too rowdy and they were cool with that too. I really have nothing else to say but beer advocate insists that I type more so that is what I Am doing.

A Pub that is run by a beer geek.
This is yet another gastro-pub in Seattle (in the key of Brouwer's) with a kick ass food selection and a great selection of beers.
With a varying selection of bottled and draft ales, this place offers alot of surprises almost daily if not weekly. Try the clam chowder, or the cheese plate.
Another bonus is the number of hosted beer dinners per year that they put together. Such previous dinners included; Silver City, New Belgium, Stone, and many others.
Well worth the visit.

Re-reviewing after a year and a half here and growing along with this handy downtown spot.
I've yet to see any more late-night special events. This is a bit of a downer, since the one I did manage was quite good. That said, the bar is looking up. As the management changes out the art from month to month, the place gets a fresh look.
The trick here is to sit at the bar. The 3 or 4 ladies and gents tha work thing are occasionally brief and always stressed, but they learn your favouries and your name in the span of half a dozen visits. Nothing to write home about, but better than the service you get at the tables. Before and after Mariners and Seahawks games the place is packed with sportsheep drinking bad beer, but these instances are easily enough avoided.
The food is quite inspired. Sure, if you get a burger or the fish and chips, you won't be impressed - go for the smoked brisket or the ahi tuna. The rissoto is a work of art, as well. Haven't been impressed by the baby back ribs, but the hosue salad is tasy and minimal - worth subbing for the sub-par fries.
The Beer: Collins seems to change out their taps after nearly every keg, so repeat visits will be rewarded. The offerings span the East and West coasts quite nicely, and the bottle selection, though fairly static, includes some VERY hard to find offerings from all around the country and the world.

One of my favorite watering holes. Staff is knowlegeable and super friendly.
Atmosphere at 4p-5p is commuters and professionals that grab a pint, interesting crowd, 4 tvs w/no sound, cool music (bar tenders'), then late at night or early afternoon, slower.
Q=food is okay. Service is usually great, occasionally it is understaffed.
S=20 taps of of mostly micros (Rus Riv, Gr Flash, Uinta, Oakshire, Boneyard, HUB), many locals(American, Bl Raven,Elysian, Anacortes), great IPA selection, all styles of beer.
I usually don't come here to eat, but when I do, it is okay and reasonably priced
$5/pint or tulip if high octane, $4 happy hour
