Some people (not refering to this site) totally trash on this beer. I like this one for what it is. As a light lager this is stuff is good beer. Light, malty, with a nice floral hop. Not something that I would walk a mile for but it does put a smile on my face and it is some EASY drinkin'. One thing though, with its light character it does have to be resonablly fresh. With the light green glass to does turn fast

Served on tap in a pint glass.

Arrived a clear medium bold with a smallish white head but with excellent lacing.

Aroma of straw, hay, and some bread. Pretty typical of a Euro pale lager.

The flavor is much like the aroma with bread and grassy noble hops. Bitterness is higher than many Euro lagers or AAL's but it tends to get a little harsh and doesn't meld well with the other flavors. Mouthfeel is light, crisp, and refreshing.

Overall, a good thirst quencher but that's about it. Decent flavor but nothing really special.

Appearance: Near textbook Lager, two fingers of head, ample lacing, good retention, moderate carbonation and a gold, not yellow hue. The only downside, there seems to be some almost dusty looking particles in the body, and before you ask, yes I made sure the glass was clean.

Smell: There is straw the dominates the nose, but it's closely followed but a robust touch of peat that makes it a bit more interesting. Nothing too fancy here though.

Taste: Basic and clean straw malt that turns to a rougher peaty taste that ends with a kick of earthy hops. Not too complicated, but not very exciting either.

Mouthfeel: The hops and peat linger in the aftertaste, leaving an almost muddy sensation on your tongue. The carbonation helps out the beer but the transitioning needs a bit of work.

Drinkability: A little bit heavier bodied then expected and it starts to wear on you a little over the half way point. Still it's refreshing to drink and certainly packs a bit more punch then macro lager.

Final Thoughts: All in all it's a Lager whose defining characteristic is the peaty taste to it. I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for in your Lager, but for me it was a good one off, but that's about it.

Medium sized white head falls into a thinning ;lacing above a clear golden colored beer.

A light skunky aroma with a lot of sour citrusy lemon coming through.

The taste of this beer is dominated by the sour citrusy with mostly the lemon that leaves no room to taste anything else that might be present.

This light bodied beer has a light dry sour lemony citrus aftertaste.

For as many of these beers are out there, are there really that many people that love this style of beer compared to such beers as IPA, Oktoberfest, Porter, Stout, Red, Barley Wine, etc. Really puzzles me.
