I'd have to say this is by far my favorite place to buy beer yet! Huge selection and quality brews. The guys there are more than helpful and love to talk beer. They told me the selection will continue to grow over the next few months and will have plenty more. The store is under new ownership, and from what I've read about the place under previous owner it wasn't all that great before. But now I was pleasantly surprised Best selection I've seen yet, and decent prices. I picked up 2 cases of Bell's Hopslam that I couldn't find anywhere, as well as a couple 6 packs of Bell's Java Stout and Expedition Stout. Cheapest price on kegs I've see in a while also. $130 for a 1/2 barrel of Two Hearted is a steal imo. They even hooked me up with a couple complimentary stout glasses and this months issue of BA mag. Great store and will get much more of my business in the future. Well worth the drive. Thanks again!!

A mediocre selection here. Some singles from Victory, Sierra nevada, some Dogfish, St. George, a couple random Belgians--I didn't see much that I couldn't find elsewhere in Richmond at other places with a larger selection. They did have a selection of glassware as well.
When we walked in we got a 'how's it going' and the balding guy with grey hair went back to reading something... We made our selections and headed to the counter. Both my friend and I got double-takes when he looked at our IDs and he asked for another form of identification from both of us in a fairly unfriendly manner. (I don't mind being carded...but he could have been more polite when asking for the 2nd ID.)
I wouldn't be too upset if I skipped this place on my next trip to Richmond, but I'd be interested to see if maybe we just caught the store/employee on a bad day.

A very high quality store that I've passed up for far too long. Finally stopped in yesterday and had my expectations fully met. Not the largest selection of beers to be had in the area, but lots of high quality beers, and several beers and brands I'd not seen in my usual haunts.
Prices are exceptional when compared to the surrounding locations (Wine & Beer Westpark, Total Wine). Also, they offer more gift packs and sell some decent looking beer glasses as well, something the other area stores seem to be lacking in.
Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

I had to drop their selection grade down. The shelves were essentially bare today and there place taken up by boxes. If it gets much worse I would take it down to a 3.0. I would not suggest stopping now, however the owner did say he was going to stock back up.
I almost passed it, but Corks & Kegs is a roomy Beer/Wine shop in Richmond. The selection is pretty good and the people in the shop are very nice. I purchased only a few beers, but was given a 10% discount without anyone blinking and eye. They have a good selection of local brews as well as some interesting Belgians and beers from out of state breweries. The shelves are neat and well laid out.
The thing that really caught my eye was the table of gift set Belgian beers and glasses near the front of the store.

A decent selection of imports (cannot remember the domestics). While not a large selection, you may find some beers not found at the other Richmond stores with larger selections. If I remember correctly, they had some of the Caracole Belgian beers before I saw them in other stores. They also had Kapuziner and (I think) Mahrs wheat beers on at least one of my visits (two very good beers that are somewhat hard to find) Prices are fair. Though it's not the type of store that a beer guru would shop at regularly, I do recommend it for an occasional visit, especially if you're in the area (or by Regency Square Mall).
