Highlight of this place is the cheap Unibroue they carry, usually for a dollar or so less than other places. They also have all the Chimay's, Duvel, and they seem to be at average price if not slightly below. They get a lot of less sought after craft beers, but solid choices like Anderson Valley and North Coast to name a couple. You can split up 6-packs which is nice, but if you go to the part where are the singles are laying around, those beers have to be so old- they probably aren't even worth drinking. I would only stop in here if you're at the mall and want a cheap Unibroue or Chimay.

Located in the Ontario Mills Mall which can get really busy at times
Offer American microbrews and beers of the world boxes that contain twelve different beers in each
Can buy singles out of 6 packs
Carry Sierra Nevada Stout and Porter, Young's, Wild Dog, Chimay, Stone Levitation Ale, some oddball chili beers, and North Coast Red Seal Ale
Summerfest was only 6 bucks when they carried them and they had Anniversary Ale from Sierra Nevada three days ago
Not good, not bad
Check out if you have to take your girlfriend shopping there
Were sold out of a lot when I was there, but still good selection

Included in the Ontario Mills Mall at the I-10 and I-15 Interchange, this store is the only one I know that has an inside entrance. It's a huge mall, and so you may have to hike a ways if you don't park in the right spot (not fun for carrying beer back to the car).
In case you don't know, Cost Plus World Market is a bazaar-type store with stuff from all over the world- for the home mostly (furniture, kitchen stuff, wall hangings, etc.), but also with food, wine, and beer from around the world. Think Pier 1 with a liquor department.
Quality is hard to pin down. This chain really isn't a beer store, it jsut happens to have a lot of beer (see below). I suspect a lot of it gets old, and it's sitting on open shelves under fluorescents, so caveat emptor. I believe this is especially true for this store (moreso than others in the chain), where people aren't going to this mall to go beer shopping. Although it's probably better around Christmas-time (see gifts discussion below).
Service- the store in general has decent service, but I would be hugely surprised to find anyone that knows anything about beer. Don't expect quality help.
Selection. I counted about 60 different beers, of which about 50 are craft beers or unusual finds (oddball stuff you don't see elsewhere). Not as big of a selection as some of the other stores in the chain (or maybe I hit it right before they re-stocked). Not all good or excellent, but some interesting finds.
The best parts of this place are 1) lots of singles for the one-time tasting, and 2) their boxed sets (10 different "craft Beers" or "Beers of the world") that give an interesting selection and make great easy gift packs for new beeradvocates.

This is the place that got me into "good" beers for the first time. It's not a liquor store, so don't expect too much, but all in all, they have a pretty good selection. They carry a lot of random micros and some harder to find imports as well. You can always expect to find a couple treats here, they almost always have Chimay and several Unibroues, and the store in Ontario is one of the very few places I've seen Old Rasputin IRS around here, outside of BevMo. The "Beers of the World" and similar 10-packs they sell are interesting if you're looking to try something new, but unfortunately there's always going to be a couple crappy micros mixed in as well.
In response to the previous reviewer, maybe it wasn't this way three years ago, but now this store DOES allow "Make Your Own 6-Packs."

Much like another Southern California Cost Plus World Market, this location offers a variety of US and world brews, but in a limited choice setting for the consumer. Where the wines are available in fair quantity, the beer is much less so. There are variety packs of both world beers and US craft beers. No mixing and matching is permitted. This is much different than Midwestern locations where there is a wide array of sixers and other packs, and where buyers are encouraged to choose singles for their own six packs. The quality of beer is also less robust than at other venues for this retailer.
