I like the actual look of the facility, nice stone and wood work. It's pretty much earth toned and a rather mellow environment. The staff is friendly and know enough about the menu as a whole, including all drink varities, to warrent a "good" rating.
The beer is pretty standard with the exception of Hoegarden, which is becoming increasingly standard. They also had Fullers ESB on tap in the menu but "they were out" when I ordered it all 6 or so times I've been there... It's all fresh enough but it's one of those bars that tries to pass off things like Guiness, Blue Moon, and Bass as rare or high quality micro/imports which annoys the shit out of me. Sell it for what it is, better than bad beer. There is no representation of any beer style aside from lager, stout, and wheat beer.
The food is awesome given the price IMO. It's innovative and sticks with the Irish theme of the place. I absolutely love the boiled dinner sandwich, it rocks harder then 95% of every sandwich I've ever had.
Damn good place to grab a bite to eat coupled with an average above average beer selection makes this a good happy hour, or mass appeal restaurant.

My dad took me for lunch here because he thought it was good beer place. A very big place inside, good job of representing an Irish pub feel from the tables and decorations, very cool inside. The beer selection was very lacking. They had about 20 beers on tap, 90% were macro garbage, lots of bottle that were the same. They try to cater to the beer crowd, sever asked me have you ever tried guinness, harp and smithwicks, try this sample, come on dude! On the bright side they did have one Columbus brewing beer and two beers by Elevator. The server was cool and let me try all three and I went with the Elevator Dark Lager, which was a nice surprise. The good was terrible, I got the fish and chips and it was chewy, looked disgusting and didn't have much flavor. The fries were a nice surpise.
Overall, a cool looking place but if you're a beer person DON't go to get beer, just go if you want to crush some macro's and hangout.

This is right down the street from me. I dont often go here, but I just visited again this weekend.
This is really a soccer bar. While I was there some of the members of Columbus Crew were there so it was fairly crowded with fans.
This is another place trying to emulate traditional Irish pubs. Their food is fairly good with all the expected Irish fare. Some of the menu has a unique twist.
The taps are above average but not super impressive. On my last trip, however, they had some beers that I did not expect. with two handles reserved for Elevator. A new Elevator pale ale "Bare Ass Pale Ale" and Paulaner Hefeweizen. They do their best to serve in the proper glasswear. My Paulaner came in a Paulaner weizen glass. I have also had a Guinness 250th on tap here. They seem to love Guinness and Smithwicks.
If I am in the mood for a decent beer and I am in a pinch or dont feel like going far, this will be my stop.

I got to try this place for dinner the other night and was mildly impressed enough to go again for drinks the following evening. Irish chain in a appearance. I like the "iced bar", and the taps are all nitro. I asked the barkeep for a pint of the "Black Stuff" and he had to be educated not a HUGE deal, barely even a deal! I liked the selection of single malts and cigars (they couldve used a few from Drew Estate). The beers are pretty standard but more on the English/Irish side aka barley a bud in sight. I love it. I had the Fish and Chips is that all I ever have? They were comparable to The Old Bag but not the same ..good enough for satisfaction. Good food.
All said, go for it. Its a decent place for a few pints and laughs!

This is the most realistic Claddagh that I've seen to date. The building in the Brewery District enhances the look and feel and makes the dark, heavy wood, and memorabilia seem quite in keeping with the overall settings. As with the Newport Claddagh, the brews here are limited to the standard Irish and a couple of English favorites. Service is good, but parking can be a bit of a problem.
The pricing is a bit heavy, but the atmosphere helps to compensate. I like the Claddagh approach though it does seem expensive to get the Irish look.
