I dont have a very good opinion of the Fox and Hound, granted Ive only been twice. Each time I went I set in the dinning room area and not the bar area, which was very clearly set apart and seemed smoky and loud and packed (I went on a Friday night both times). Each time the service was just plain bad, and the staff had absolutely no knowledge on any of the specialty beers they sold. I literally had to spell out a few of the beers to the waitress on my first visit. On the second visit there was a lot of back and forth when ordering beers because they were out of quite a few things that were listed on the menu. They did have a notable selection of beers, no doubt, but it just wasnt enjoyable drinking them there. I didnt care for the atmosphere. They place just felt like being in a cheap chain restaurant, which I understand probably doesnt bother most people, but it bothers me. The food gave me the same impression mediocre chain restaurant food. I had the basil pesto thin crust pizza on my last visit, and it was good, but far from anything special. The only way Id ever go back was if maybe they opened up one close to where I live, but it just isnt worth the drive IMO.

so, even though fox and hound is average in most aspects, come here on a tuesday for $2 pints, and all is forgiven. seriously, simply average service and food are more than made up for when you can score bells two hearted or youngs chocolate stout for only $2!!

This has become mine and my friends' new hangout since we discovered it. As cmallister mentioned, there aren't a lot of good choices in our area so this one pretty easily nets the top despite being a chain.
However there have been some updates since the last review. For one, the macros only take up one of the tap rows, and the rest are a mix of imports and micros with some really good unique brews like Old Leghumper and Tommyknocker Maple, and even Red Tulip. The bottle selection is also greatly improved. I can't even remember half of what's in the fridges because there are so many things I've either never tried or never heard of, along with all the regular junk (they even carry Mickey's).
The liquor selection is a bit more impressive. It covers the back bar wall from waist level to the ceiling and is about thirty feet long. They have everything from rail bottles (behind the rail obviously) all the way up to a couple things that I know cost around 1k per bottle (Remy Martin Louis XIII for example).
The servers and managers have a lot of character and while they aren't the classiest people around (they've been known to stage jello wrestling matches and the like) at least they keep up with the tables pretty well and don't mind getting to know the patrons.
Lots of pool tables, foosball, air hockey, pingpong. Lots of bigscreen TVs that the customers can change. Good music.
The food is about average price for decent sports bar, and they know how to cook a good burger (one of the only places that gets the times right). The fish and chips are the best around, too.
And the best part: On Tuesdays it's 2$ pints all day. Any pint. Can't beat that when they have Arrogant Bastard on tap.

Ive never gone here for food, but i got the impression it is average. The beers on the other hand are pretty impressive. They have a ton of beer on tap, including bell's oberon and arrogant bastard just to name a couple.
The large glass, which is around 20oz is $5.60 for pretty much any of the micro brew. Not a bad price considering arrogant bastard is $4 for a 22oz, so the markup isnt THAT bad.
Atmosphere is layed back. Lots of pool tables and places to sit. Pretty good sized bar area with at least 20 or so beers on tap.
Overall if you looking for a place to hang out with friends and have a beer, you could pick a worst place. Also, make sure you look all around the bar on what they have on tap because each tap station has different beers.

A nice modern pub atmosphere, but with a bit too much smoke for those trying to enjoy their beers. The crowds are big and so are the noise levels, it is hard to converse with any ease.
Plenty of decent beer on tap; domestic macro to one side, imports and micros to the other. Lots of bottle choices with some real quality mixed from the likes of Samuel Smith, Bells and others. Surprise! Gordon Biersch shows up in bottles.
