On-tap at Jopenkerk, Haarlem, Netherlands

A: The beer is very dark yellowish brown in color and somewhat resembles apple cider. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that died down but consistently left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of subdued citrusy hops are present in the nose - oranges and grapefruit seem to stand out in particular.
T: Te taste is very much similar to the smell and is citrusy and only has a faint hint of bitterness and slight hints of spices from the rye.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is really enjoyable - it's like drinking a maltier version of an Americn West Coast IPA without any of the bitterness.

Dark amber color, beuatiful beige foam.
The smell is cereals and malty, with some lightly spiced note.
Easy in the mouth, malty start, then the light spicy notes of rye. Not bad.
Light, but pleasant, notes of hop.
Light body, very drinkable, short aftertaste.
Easily drinkable.

A dark copper beer with a settling head.

Smell of citric hops with notes of red fruit, mango, grapefruit. A nice hoppy smell backed up by a full malty smell which is a bit dextrinous.

Taste is balanced between the hops and malt. The bitterness is not too high, but enough to balance the beer. The hops offer red fruit, grapefruit, mango and give the beer a nice citric hoppy taste. The rye adds a slightly nutty and fullness to the beer.

Bought from the local Mitra.

12.oz bottle into a snifter.

A honey orange color with a large fluffy white head. A bit hazy and little bit of carbonation.

Spicey smells of honeydew-melon, a bit of pine on what's clearly a rye base. American West Coast IPA Hop Aroma.

Flavors are right on par with nose. They Rye is the big backbone of this and the hops stay nicely in the background. And the herbal/ spice flavors are surprisingly well done.

Mouthfeel is light to medium with a dry bitter finish.

Finally a rye beer readily available to me. I really enjoyed drinking a few of these. Makes for a great all night session beer.

The beer pours a nice orange brown colour with a small cream coloured head.

It smells like an American style IPA over rye bread with some lovely tropical fruits and pine smells supported by a good solid backbone of rye and herbal notes.

Flavours follow the nose with rye all around but not dominating the taste but more accommodating and supporting the fresher, lighter fruity tastes. Herbs and pine come through a little later with a dry pine and rye finish. absolutely lovely and perfectly balanced.

Mouthfeel is a little aggressively carbonated at first but smoothing out along the way and finishing on the dry side, it feels a little thin at times though which is my biggest complaint about this beer.

I've added some points on the overall because this beer is refreshing, solid, easily drinkable and just all around balanced and good. I could definitely see myself going back to this all year round. This is a beer that makes me happy and that makes me want to get another one and then maybe another one.
