Table and vine is the best place in Western Mass. to buy Beer. I have never seen such a great selection as Table and vine.
The prices are fair and often cheaper than other places in the area. The staff knows more about beer than the average person but not an extensive knowledge.
If you are in the area in is a must. I look forward to visiting it because I can get the same beer I buy in boston and more for a better price. Almost all beers that are available in Massachusetts are available at table and vine.

By far the best liquor store I have been to. Great wine selection, hard liquor and large beer selection. They also have a variety of gourmet cheeses. Best selection of local breweries, better than Liquors 44, tons of state breweries, out of state and foreign beers. If you are in the Northampton to Springfield area, this is the place to go! You wont be disappointed! I always go there ever since someone told me about it. I'm in the region 2-4 times a year and I always make a stop before coming home to Jersey.

Table and Vine, a great beer store but one that has sort of let me down more and more since I started going 2 years ago (have stopped in at least weekly). A re-review, previously I had given this store a 4.7 A+.
Two summers ago, Table and Vine was a place where you could pretty much find anything you wanted. Sculpin and good Founders releases would sit on the shelves for a reasonable amount of time. Alesmith IPA was around regularly. 120 Minute IPA sat on the shelves for months at a time. Now, you can't find anything that has any hype, rarity or fame behind it, on the shelves at least. If you even want a sniff at a Cantillon, KBS or even fresh Alesmith, you have to know someone who works there or call and get put on a list. For example: Alesmith IPA came in a few weeks ago and it never even made it to the public, the entire allotment was bought by employees or the owners. KBS was $9 a SINGLE for the past release ($21 per 4 pack at other local stores).
Anyways... If you want a huge selection of beer, head to Table and Vine. If you want something that is limited in the least, either call far in advance or go somewhere else. The overall selection of regular release beers is great. It is probably the best in Western MA and one of the best in the state. Some breweries that I see everytime I go here (Allagash, Avery, DFH, Seirra Nevada, Hoppin Frog, Lost Abbey, Victory, Troegs, Founders, Stone, Chimay, St Bernardus, Rodenbach, Dieu Du Ciel, Unibroue, Long Trail, all the locals and many others). This is a great store to go to for freshness as well, compared to other area stores. You can usually trust the IPAs and other hop filled beers to be fresh, so good quality.
The service can be hit or miss here. Usually during the day it is best, especially on weekends. Other times, 10 employees will walk right past you and it is up to you to ask any questions or stop them for service. Some of the employees know craft beer but there are so many walking around. My friends and I have often answered customer questions for employees of the store (Do you have Russian River? Dark Lord? Pliny?).
All in all, expect a well-priced, massive craft selection but also to see empty shelves above labels like Alesmith IPA, Breakfast Stout, Backwoods Bastard, Cantillon and things like that. It is worth asking if they have any in the back because "sometimes we keep limited releases off the shelves so that true craft beer fans can buy them." I might look spoiled complaining about such a store, which is probably better than most, but I know many people who think this store has gone down hill in the last two years. It seems the employees are more geared to helping themselves get rare beer than getting any to the customers. I am also surprised that they have not taken on a discounted mix-a-six program, like many other stores around the state have.

I hope heaven resembles this place...astounding selection of beers and wines and I am extremely lucky to live within 10 minutes of such a place. They have everything you could imagine...even rarities such as KBS and Nugget Nectar make their appearances when the time comes. The downside to this place is that it is so popular that everything rare sells out in a matter of hours. KBS for instance was sold out within 6 or 7 hours of its arrival I believe. Nugget Nectar was gone the very next day after it arrived.
The staff is well versed in their respective areas. I research beer everyday, but the beer department knows far more than I do and it seems as though they've tried every beer in existence. This is the place for local brews...peoples pint, BBC, wachusett, Opa Opa...you name it they have all styles in all amounts. What is also great is their selection of food that goes along with beer and wine. I constantly buy their horseradish cheese spread and their bar mixes.

One of the largest package stores in Western Mass. They get everything and anything you can imagine, best part is that most of the items do not sit on the shelving very long. Even with the massive size, if you have a special request, they can and most of the time, will order it. The staff has much knowledge about what they carry (you just have to talk with someone specific to that department). The prices here are also some of the best because of their buying power. A little bit of a drive for me, but well worth the trip.
Cheers!

I shop here several times of year, stocking up on things that will probably never make it into New Hampshire. They have a huge selection - very impressive, but I think it is too big for their clientele, which is probably mostly interested in Bud, etc.
Last time I was in I left with only about 1/3 of what I was aiming for. They had the other 2/3 in stock, but it was dusty and of the breweries that age date the bottles, a lot of it was confirmed old and past prime. Many bottles with dates were 6 - 12 months old. Maybe a good place to shop for barleywine, or other cellar beers, but not if you are into IPA, or pilsner, for example.
Very little of the cooler space is taken up by craft beers and what craft beers were in there were often old. Wachusett Larry, high on my list was out of date in the cooler, but current on the shelves.
Service is hit or miss. The other day, I was in the craft beer isle for an hour and not an employee to be seen. Other times I have been offered friendly and knowledgeable help quite promptly.
Prices are great. If you can figure out what moves, or if you are willing to check for dust and dates (I used the fresh beer only website on my smart phone as I shopped) you can find some good stuff here.

This place is a godsend! After all the local "beverage marts" here in Albany both jacked up their prices and were also forced to by the taxation nazis of NY State, thank God I can get to Table & Vine twice a month!
Prices: BEST in the area! Specials are REALLY special!
Service: Isle staff is GREAT! The friendly staff spends the time to help answer your question, even calling in others to help. The cashiers, however, need personality transplants. Desparately.
Selection: Outstanding - THE BEST! If it is brewed in ME, VT, MA, CT, RI, NH or NY you can find it here, as well as unusual beers from around the globe.
Value/Quality: from Coors Lite to Karmeliet! Prices are THE BEST - be it Sam Adams Utopia or Narragansett! No dust on the shelves here!
Just off the highway - DO NOT drive by. Save up friends and make the trip! Beer tastings frequently. They also have the best Scotch selection I've ever seen.

This place totally rocks and is well worth a visit if you are anywhere nearby, even Hartford or Worchester, etc.
A Huge Wal Mart size aisle of craft beer awaits you here with one side of the aisle packed with some of the best craft breweries in the states: Founders, Lost Abbey, Weyerbacher, Ballast Point, Alesmith, Bells, Hoppin Frog, Stone, GI, Cascade, etc. (only ones missing for me are Three Floyds and Russian River, which are both a little out of the question) with seriously the best stuff out on the shelves, no secret societies in this store from what I can tell. I've been told things like KBS, BCBCS, etc. will be out on the shelf when it comes out, and for me personally I saw Older Viscosity and Angels Share just sitting there waiting for me to buy it! Unbelievable selection. The other side of the aisle is full of imports from Canada, Germany, Belgium, UK, Poland, etc. Only thing they lack there is Cantillion.
The only reason I knock the quality is that some of the IPAs sit out and probably go stale...use your best judgement or check the labeling to see about that. Other than that, it all looks great.
The guys and gals working there are very cool and seem to want to help you get what you want. Very nice.
Overall, this gets a very high recommendation from me, and every time I go home to Northern CT, I will stop by and stock up!

Great liquor, beer, and wine store in West Springfield.
I ran across it during a trip and decided to visit.
Glad I did. Good selection of local and other beers both in cooler and on the shelf. And not just one or two of each. Alll of the beers were well stocked with the popular styles of beers as well as other less known styles from the same brewery. Craft beer and macro beer brands were both represented.
The store is well organized and the staff that I talked to were very knowledgeable.
Also a liquor store and wine store, if interested.

Came in here on my way to CT for the weekend, and I've got to say it's pretty damn amazing! Huge selection of American craft and imports. I was able to get a whole bunch of CA beers (including Sculpin!), craft cans from 21st amendment and OB. They had no Sculpin out so I asked if I could get a bottle and the guy looked out back and brought me some. The only thing they didn't have I was hoping to find was Nemesis, but otherwise very solid.
Also looks like they had tons of wine, food and other stuff. Right off the interstate so it was easy to find as well.
