Woodychandler comes through again with this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a light golden color with a 1/2 inch head, lots of carbonation. Smell is malty, grassy. Taste is crisp, grains, malts, light and easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

A small to medium white head settles into a thin lacing above a clear straw golden colored kolsch.
Some sourish grains, very light citrus, and a little sweetness in the aroma.
Light citrus lemonish hops with an almost grassy or straw taste coming through.
A dryish aftertaste that seems to have some light bittering aspects to it on this well carbonated light bodied beer.
Light but decent tasting, worth a nod if you like beers of this style.

Draft pint at the Steamworks brewpub in Durango. GABF silver medal 2010. Arrived bright clear gold with big fluffy white head. Sweet hay aroma with slight clove/spice and is it a hint of peach? Clean crisp grassy hop flavor. Find it disappearing rather quickly.

On tap at Euclid Hall the beer arrives in an oversized wine glass. A bit hazy with a pale yellow golden color. A decent 1 finger head with some retention and little lacing. Looks average. The nose is a mix between cereal malt flavors and a earthy hop tone. Grassy. Hints of fruit with apple and pear. Again, average. The flavor is exactly what the nose would detail, a strong cereal malt base from which grassy and earthy hop tones build. Crisp and clean and lighter end of medium bodied. Well carbonated. Overall, a very average beer. Nothing exemplary not worth noting. I will not be back, likely.

this is a fine brew, bit its painfully boring. in my mind its just a beer, simple as that. lacks all of the malty complexion required of a good kolsch style beer. nothing remarkable in the nose or the palate. mouthfeel is fine, plenty carbonated and easy drinking, but its putting me to sleep in a sober sort of way. again, not a bad beer by any stretch, but this is at best a craft beer for the budlight drinker and makes almost no appeal to an evolved beer palate. maybe if i go golfing on a 100degree day ill bring these, but other than that nevermind.

On tap at steamworks, the color got me really excited, straw yellowish. Smell was decent and faintly sweet could not pick out anything in particular. Taste was a little sweet for the style.
Overall its not a bad brew but there isn't anything that is very special in this one. Would drink again but I'm not going to be hunting it down by any means.

Pours a clear yellow with a thin white head. A sweet, lemony aroma is present. Taste is initial bready sweetness up front, followed by some lemony, piney hops. Mouthfeel is smooth, low carbonation. Overall a good beer, I would get this again. Nice and refreshing.

Pours a slightly cloudy, very pale golden yellow color with straw cored hues and 1.5 finger white foam head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Streaks and spots of lace.
Sweet, slightly earthy aroma with hints of light fruit, grass and straw . Subtle spice with bready yeast, apple and pear. Faint alcohol.
Medium bodied but fuller than expected with slightly dry earthy hops and some zesty spice. Peppery with pale malt, earthy grass, straw and crisp, light fruit. Hints of apple and pear as well as some banana and subtle alcohol. Crisp, clean and easy to drink.

Pours an incredibly pale clear straw color capped with a thin one finger white head which fizzles down quickly very little retention or lacing.
Light aroma admittedly a bit like yellow fizzy stuff, noticeable bundled hay and corn husks with some bready malts on the back end. Light hop character embodies earthy grass.
There's more to this than aroma and appearance indicate, sweet bread malts with a substantial amount of raw grains which carries over smoothly and a wheat twang. Ends crisp with some drying. Medium hop character dry and grassy some muscat acidity detectable.
Light body and very well carbonated. Ends crisp and a bit slick, could be drier.
First experience with kolsch and it's subtleties force me to grade by style and prevent me from giving a lower grade. Very much like a light german lager but that tart grape/wine acidity sets it apart as it's own. Decent beer but I'd like my lagers with a bit more hop character.

The pour yields a beautiful light golden draught with a half finger of white head that quickly retreats for no lacing...
I'm picking up some grass and citrus in the aroma but nothing else
honestly it kind of smells like the yellow fizzy stuff
Slight hops and malt hits the palate.... it actually tastes like the big beer as well..not bad, its just nothing.
Light body like water with a soda pop carbonation
Ok this beer is not worth more words but I have to hit the minimum so here it is. If you are looking for any sort of flavor do not hit this. Save your money for keystone light as it is the same to my mouth.

On tap is the only way to drink this beer! At the ski area to make it even more perfect!
It pours super light, with a good head that subsides quickly. A very pretty color of golden.
The taste is light, refreshing, and very clean.
A perfect morning beer!

Had a pint of this one last night at the Skylark Lounge here in Denver. Poured a crisp, clean, medium yellow color, with a decent white head. On the nose, this one was lightly hoppy, biscuity and clean. On the palate, this one is light bodied and well carbonated, rather pedestrian, simple, subtle and crisp. I switched to Pabst after this one, to give you an idea of how impressed I was.

Beer is a hazy bright golden color. White head was less than an eight of an inch and died to nothing rapidly. Only a few small carbonation bubbles rising slowly.
Fresh bundled hay aroma with the sweetness of malt. A fair bit of a corn husk scent. Hop bitterness is very subdued and only appears towards the end of an inhalation.
Just what is found in the nose repeats itself on the tongue. Malt sweetness with a taste reminiscent of fresh cut hay. Hops presence is also subdued to the malt.
Thickness on the tongue is comparable to water. Taste hangs on a bit and is shifted only by small bursts of carbonation.
An average kolsch. Works well with a summer salad. Nothing here to excite either the bigger bear crowd or fans of the style. Just an average for the style.
