Bottle of 300 ml, at home, poured into a tulip glass.
Colour is lpale amber with a two finger head, light beige in colour, creamy. Retention of head is average, and activity in the glass is minimal.
Aroma is sweet, of malts, very faint. Nothing else that I could trace.
Taste is of roasted malts too, maybe som e caramel aftertaste. Slighty metallic.
On the body has average thickness, with light carbonation and some dryness on the palate.
Overall quite average but it doesn't disappoint.

Drank from my Duvel Tulip
A - Pours a clear brown ale colour with an Ivory coloured head that reuces to a film over about 5 mins.
S - Small amount of sweet malt, not much else.
T - Sweetness is very apparent up front, some small malts follw witha hint of licorice, the finish is bitter.
M - Light body and low carbonation, makes it feel a littel watery.
O - This is not a Belgian PA, more like a Bock for me. Not the best.

I had a bottle of this beer in my hotel room in Aruba last week. Had no idea what to expect, no Internet access to BA regarding style, etc.
I liked the beer but was rather surprised to see this as a Belgian Pale Ale. This does not stand up compared to beers such as Orval, but is still a good session beer in its own right.
Pours a clear light amber color with a nice little white head. Fairly weak but pleasant malty aroma with a little honey in the smell as well.
Tastes good. Fairly mild malty taste, the honey flavor is fairly pronounced with a little hops bitterness and some mild spiciness (pepper) as well.
Mouthfeel is fine for a fairly light beer. Drinkability is good. Pleasant, interesting taste. Would stand up over a session. Nice drink.

Brown 30cl bottle, best before Jan 2008, drank July 2007.
Poured into Corsendonk tulip glass.
Lovelly clear terracotta red colour, small white foam head.
No aroma really, not even as the beer warmed, a bit of malted biscuits if I am being kind.
Not a great beery taste, more a watery malted drink, the mouthfeel is also poor, no hops, yeast or anything to do with a true Belgian Pale Ale.
