Very tasty beer, however, reminded me a lot IPA due to large amount of hops used in the recipe. Aroma: hop (intense), malt, orange, and maybe a bit of roasted malt. Flavor is also very hopped, bitter, malty and floral. Light carbonation. Beautiful bottle and label.

330ml Bottle from Utobeer, Borough Market (£2.50):
Light & clear range tinged amber with a thumb sized, bubbly white head that stays quite well over the opening couple of minutes, only reducing slightly in size.

Light with some grassy hops and a subdued malt base to begin with. There was some light fruity notes in the background but to be honest it smelt a bit basic although still pleasant and most definitely an English pale ale in smell; if only it was stronger in smell.

A balanced beer with some light malts and a grassy hop taste initially along with some background fruits and a nice bitter finish. This one was a nice and very easy to drink beer but I felt it could have been more in your face and less subdued. There was floral notes and caramel.

Carbonation is about medium to lively with this one and the beer is probably light bodied with a very smooth mouthfeel and only the slightest of citrus tangs to go with a somewhat dry finish. Livelier than usual for the style but much as you would expect.

A nice and well made beer I felt it was a little weak in both taste and smell although things became more pronounced and noticeable the further down the glass. There was a nice floral hop and malt base but to be honest nothing in this beer was strong enough for me and it's not a classic.

Amber color with a decent head and good retention. It was very fresh, well I tasted it at the brewery spot.
Aroma of herbal and floral hops. Sweet malt taste balanced with an herbal and fruity hop flavor, plum and peach more easiest identifiable.
Bitterness that continues in the aftertaste along with a dry finish.
Light Body with a medium carbonation with small bubbles.
Very refreshing beer, holds a long session.

The brew is clear light amber, has an off-white head with good lacing and small curtains.

Smelling of honey. grass and pears.

The taste starts with bread and honey, toffee, then some pears and also peaches.

Medium carbonation, small bubbles, a fresh texture, medium body and a light dry finish.

A good fruity pale ale, sessionable.

Bottle review: 14/03/12 (A:3.5 S:4 T: 4.5 M: 4 O:4)
Poured from a 330ml bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a deep golden colour with a nice lively head that dissipates pretty quickly.

Smells quite malty with a hint of fruity hops.

Tastes more towards the malty end of pale ales, with slight hops too giving it a refreshing element.

Overall a delightful beer, well balanced and quaffable.

Tap review: 28/02/13
Served on-tap in a half pint tulip at the Beer House - Paddington station

Pours a clear dark golden colour with a small white head.

Smells sweet and malty, with grassy hops and a hint of lemon.

Tastes of sweet, caramel like malts with balancing fruity, bitter and grassy hops, with a peppery aftertaste. Mid-light bodied.

Overall an average but decently made pale ale.

Pleasant, slighlty cloudy gold with a thin white head.

Light bready malts, pleasant citrus fruit hops. Good malt body, light hops. Nice biscuity, yeasty taste. Smooth natural carbonation, light body. I think the carbonation could be a bit more powerful, but overall not too bad. Great session beer.

Had this on 2011-11-04 at the Bull's Head Cask Festival in Lititz, PA

A - Mildly hazy gold with no head.

S - Best part of this brew. It smelled really good with lots of citrus and Simcoe hop floral.

T - Grassy, citrus, white-flour biscuit, spearmint. Not very bitter. Aftertaste didn't linger.

M - Medium body and light carbonation. Reasonably creamy.

O - After the great smell, I was hoping for more but the taste didn't follow through. Enjoyed it but wouldn't seek it out.

Had on cask at Bull's Head Cask Fest in Letitz, PA.

A - bright amber color with a thin white head that disappears quickly.

S - this brew smells very good. Lots of floral and citrus aroma.

T - yummy... I was getting a fruity characteristic liking to cantaloupe. Some good balance to this one.

M - medium bodied and little to no carbonation.

O - this was my favorite beer they brought in for this Fest.

Half pint in the Greenwich Union, Meantime Breweries tap house: I gave a bottle of this beer an overall score of 3.98 back in Feb 2010; the on-tap version didn’t do so well.

Bright and clear, the amber body looked clean and inviting; the off-white head didn’t hang around or give off much lacing. The aromas rising from the glass were of floral, fruity hops (is this dry hopped after brewing I wonder?).

Hops dominate the flavour, bitter and fairly sharp tasting, almost leaning towards an over hopped pilsner in its feel and body depth. It didn’t really do it for me, well carbonated, in fact too well, hence my pilsner comment: not the best Meantime beer by a long way.

Pours a clear copper, many little bubbles, one finger head.

Aromas of pineapple, moderate.

Taste is quite dry and bitter. Not archetypal English at all. Too dry and hoppy for that. Almost metallic in taste as the bottle progresses.

Mouthfeel is a little thin, however, we are in 4.3 ABV territory here.

Not the best example of English brewing

golden/pale orange color. poured decent head.

smell was really, really nice. very hoppy, sweet, malty, citrus/floral/piney - everything mixed extremely well.

taste actually had a bit of bitterness to it despite the low alcohol content, especially towards the end. well carbonated, easy drinking, and overall decent beer.

On-tap at the Crawford St Beehive into a half pint.

A: Pale, clear amber body with plenty of super-fine bubbles rising to replenish a creamy of-white head. Good retention and lacing. Quite nice.

S: Floral, herbal, slightly piney hops are foremost, backed up by just a touch of bready malt. Very clean and inviting. Lovely.

T: Dry, nutty malt and solidly leafy, herbal hops mesh perfectly on the way to a clean, bitter finish. Great balance, very refreshing.

M: Medium body, slightly prickly carbonation. Not as soft as it could be.

O: Terrific little EPA. I could be very happy drinking multiple pints of such a flavorful, balanced, and refreshing pale ale. Good stuff.

Cheers!
