Bottle pours a hazy banana liqueuer with half an inch of white foam and offers decent lace.
Nose of wheat and a bit of coarse grain. Offers a touch of lemon and a notable spice component. Much more of a Witbier than a Hefeweizen in the aroma.
Taste follows the aroma with a subtle peppery spice and a pleasant feel and carbonation. Spice factors are limited but present, placing this brew a bit at odds to any style per se.
Overall not a bad quaffer. Offers a nice yet subtle spice character though no Bavarian influence. Not overly fruity and lacking much nuance but easy on the palate nonetheless.

Bottle of 300 ml at home, poured into a small weizen glass.
Colour is honey like, only much more pale.Non transparent.Head is huge, as expected, three fingers at least. Creamy, white in colour, good retention. Lots of activity in the glass.After a while head becomes one finger in height and stays like thaat for the rest of the session.
Fruity aroma, sweet. Mostly citrus fruits, some bubblegum and bananas too.
Taste is fruity too, with the banana flavor being much more obvious.
Thin on the body for a weizen, with carbonation being as much as needed.
Overall a good weizen, in a reasonable price.

As a former wheat beer lover I thought to give the Grolsch brewery another chance, though knowing that there never has been a great beer brewed under their label.
Wrong choice.
L: okay ofcourse, but have you ever seen a wheat beer that didn't? The top is always okay;
S: brrr. Typical smell of a dish-cloth that has been lying too long; next to that a bit citrus;
T: the dish-cloth is gone, but there's not much to mention; not really bad, but with the fear in mind to have to smell the next sip...
M: okay, thin but that's also not new for a wheat beer;
O: change the smell and the beer will be an average, drinkable beer; in this form I was glad to spoil half of the bottle.

Cloudy deep golden honey with piles of tight rocky white head. Candle wax with hints of banoffi and lemon zest.
Waxy caramel biscuit and banana creme pie with very light clove.
Vanilla creme finish and clean minty linger. Light, thin, fizzy and some creaminess.
The light, crisp side of Hefe. A bit thin, but surprisingly good coming from a Macro. Wide access to this would be no bad thing.

A: Bottle into La Chouffe goblet in low altitude Galway, Ireland. Pours a three finger head of nice cream and thickness. Hazy light orange colour.
Sm: Fresh citrus and hops.
T: Citrusy estery build, quite balanced. Some cream on the finish. Hoppy. Built excellently for the style. Pretty impressive compared to my expectations.
Mf: Nicely coarse, creamy, and smooth.
Dr: I could down it easily pint after pint. Highly recommend to any beer fanatic tired of crappy beers in the style.

Settles a hazy golden yellow with a white bubbly head which is a good size & has good retention.
A clove & banana mix on the nose with a little bit of lemon & possibly coriander. Very nice & quite similar to Hoegaarden.
Banana seems to be the dominant flavour with the clove & coriander also making an appearance. It is quite fruity & pleasantly well balance.
Refreshingly smooth with a light to medium body. The beer goes down quite well and had a nice overall balance.
A pretty solid beer overall & what I've some to expect from the wheat beers I have reviewed so far, this may be the norm for them or perhaps I've just been lucky to begin with - either way this is a style I really enjoy and a beer I would drink again.
