Pours a quite light yellow, thin head that dissipates quickly.

Smell is rather ambiguous, somewhat citrusy but not too distinct one way or another.

Taste is generally weak on this, some citrus and is bitter like lemon piff, but not strongly so. This leaves it quite weak for me, perhaps a bit boring.

Feel of the drink is good, smooth with fairly mild carbonation.

Overall not a bland one, but quite muted for me, pleasant but not something I'd seek out.

L - Very pale yellow (per a light lager), with a very slight haze. Pours with 1-1.5cm white head, with good retention.
S - I get some floral hops, but that's it
T - Fresh, light, then quite a prominent flavour-note but too fleeting to identify. I think it's a subtle and brief citrus note ('that every single beer in the UK seems to insist on featuring these days')
M - Refreshing, zesty on the tongue.
O - Since returning to the UK after years away, this past month, I've drunk so many beers of this type. Quite low ABV%, prominent hops, and the citrus thing. Such beers are not ticking my boxes, and I'm trying to learn how to spot the signs from the lable.

Hazy golden color with a thin head with short retention.
Aroma with notes of honey, sweet grapefruit and oranges, bread and pears.
Flavor with notes of spices, malt juice, citrusy, grassy and earthy hops, flowers and pears. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Light body with appropriate cask carbonation.
As they said, impeccable English Pale Ale. Not very complex nor big thrills, just utterly pleasant.

The colour is gold, the liquid is clear (like a Czech Pils). The finger thick head is off-white and compact, it sinks down to a thin lid leaving no lacing.

The strong smell is bitter-sweet and somewhat tart with notes of hay, dough, grass, apricots, stable and corn flakes.

The taste is smooth with butter/butterscotch, French loaf, growing floral bitterness and candy sweetness. Medium body. The aftertaste got growing yet light notes of alcohol and salt. Hints of butter, dough and unripe fruits. Caramel and hay in the finish.

The carbonation is medium strong, the small bubbles are light and short-lived. The liquid is smooth.

Quite a drinkable bitter. But it is at the same time very similar to a not-that-clean golden Czech lager, making it quite an odd beer.

500ml bottle from Whole Foods, Giffnock (£1.79):
An excellent first Bath Ales beer for me & one that was very well balanced whilst being quite a light, easy going beer that would definitely make an excellent session offering. There was some pleasant citrus flavours in the early going with a sweetness that got slightly stronger as things went on plus the floral touches that featured nearer the end were enjoyable too. The beer was at times a touch light but it didn't take much away from what was otherwise a great beer. It certainly wasn't the most complex offering I've came across recently either but it was well made & drinkable; decent stuff & one well worth picking up if you find it.

Just great. Now I know what the real English Pale (or golden?) Ale should be. Golden color. Wanderfull aroma of fruits and flowers, soft taste. Remaind APA a bit. One of my favorites by now.

From a 500ml bottle into a pint glass.

Pours pale gold, crystal clear, no carbonation. A one-finger, white head recedes quickly to a film with spotty lacing. Looks fresh & inviting.

Smells of lemon rind and peardrops. Smelt a bit funky at first but got much better after a couple of minutes.

Taste is very floral. Pale malt, honeysuckle, sweet citrus, soft bitterness.

Medium body with a lightly dry finish and some sparkle.

Refreshing golden ale. Very easy to drink. Fun. Not overly serious.

A delicate and understated beer. The flavours are balanced but not in your face. The right balance of sweetness, carbonation, hops and malt. Biscuit with the slightest hint of citrus. A session beer but may be a little on the strong side alcoholwise.

Poured into english pint.
Pours clear golden with 1-finger off-white head, not very long retention. Smell is grassy and citrusy. Taste - some toasted malty tones and delicate hop bitter finish. Well-balanced, but non-essential golden ale.
