A: Pours pale with a nice head that has little retention and no lacing.

S: Nothing, maybe a faint malt.

T: Typical of its style, it has a graininess to it with faint hop character.

M: Light body, good carbonation and a little dry.

D: It is a pretty average beer. I won't be getting it again.

Another bottle picked up at the Buford Highway Farmer's Market.

Poured into a pint.

Clear gold, foamy bright white head. Still. Macro-ey.

Nose is strong rice, sweet and sticky. Some ethanol.

Taste is standard rice lager. Rice, metallic, some stale hops on the end. Some generic sugary sweetness.

I'll avoid this one!

Pours a pale golden colour, clear and still. Head was white and existed at one stage, now it's disappeared. Looks rubbish, frankly.

Smells sweet and adjuncty. Yum. Lots of corn and honey and rice, with some blandness and shitness thrown in. Not much to enjoy, not even much to look for. Pretty poor.

Taste is also pretty poor. Bland on the front but also sickly sweet with lots of honey and white sugar/sucrose added. Corn, grain, pearl barley - yeah I guess it tastes rather like livestock feed. Very little to appreciate here, in fact very little not to make me go on a murderous rampage through a crowded shopping mall. Take note, breweries: brew better beer. It could save lives.

Decently full body, bit of carbonation at the end. It's what I'd expect stylistically, therefore it's alright.

Bland, overly sweet. Bad beer. Bad, bad beer. Naughty.

500ml bottle, not so surprisingly available at many places throughout Hawaii, given the preponderance of Japanese tourists here. The Kanji characters on the label are quite different from the can pictured on this entry.

This beer pours a crystal clear pale golden yellow colour, with one skinny finger of thin foamy bone-white head, which leaves very little discernible lace around the glass as it logically bleeds away in barely more than an instance.

It smells of rice grain adjuncts, a bit warm, with mild grassy hop undertones. The taste is a little more generically grainy, but with a still healthy (?) rice husk character, a slight warming, and very subtle grassy hops.

The bubbles are pretty average, i.e. not noticeably different from its very numerous peers, the body a medium-light weight, its only claim coming from a somewhat tacky, pithy character, one which does no favours to the unfairly burdened smoothness. It finishes rather blandly, a combination of semi-sweet rice pudding, and subtle earthy, weedy hops.

Not really all that bad; however, this offers nothing beyond the underwhelming norm - soul-sucking, quasi-sickly grain, crispness an ironically foreign concept, and overall just another lost chance at cross-culture beer knowledge enhancement.

Poured from 500mL bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: very pale yellow hue with a clear body and nice effervescence. Head is a very thin layer of bubbly white foam. Not super impressive.

Smell: lightly plastic-smelling malt aroma; pretty light, but there's enough aroma in there to be not-great overall.

Taste: very light, dry flavor. Not exactly malty; just sort of plain and flavorless. It's not especially flawed, though, and "flavorless" is pretty much the goal of a rice lager.

Mouthfeel: light body with a big dose of carbonation. Not creamy, but definitely sparkling ... it's at least interesting.

Overall: despite this beer's flaws and relative lack of flavor, it is stylistically accurate and pretty easily drinkable.

Half liter bottle. Beer pours extremely pale straw/yellow with a medium white head and big bubbles. Almost no aroma, but sweet -- reminds me of apple juice that way.

Very little flavor, too. A little bit of dryness, and a more than a hint of corn syrup sweetness. I guess it's inoffensive, and pretty drinkable, but not good.

Served to me blind by @LaitueGonflable, who purchased it recently in Hong Kong.

Pours a very clear and really disappointingly light-bodied yellow colour, with only a touch of white foam around the edges of the glass. No lace, not body, and a pitiful single stream of carbonation from one nucleation point in the glass. Looks like macro shite.

Nose is pounded with ricey adjuncts, leaving wet grain nothingness. To be fair, there's a touch of greenness to the brew, giving a lift above the abysmal, perhaps a touch of hops that really wants to break through. But really, this is a beer of nothingness—it smells like a mildly more potent Asahi or something. Rice, way too much rice.

Taste is clean and clear, but that's about as good as it gets. Again, there's husky rice characters giving a mild sweetness and a very blatant emptiness, and just the touch of hops to bring it into the realms of "is-it-ok-I-don't-know!", but it's really weak and disappointing, really. It's light and drinkable enough, but really, it's not very good at all.

Really? What is this? My only opinion is that it's a very generic pale brew brewed to be quaffable and devoid of flavour by someone who knew what they were doing. It's not unpleasant, it's not offensive, it's not undrinkable: it's just goddamn boring as shit.

A- Pours a dark yellow / golden color with a bubbly white head that dissipates quickly.

S- Lots of semi-sweet rice grain smell, mild hops and fruitiness.

T- Light grains, semi-sweet malt, some grassy hops in the background. A bit above average for an Asian lager.

M- Light bodied but not watery, well carbonated, crisp feel.

O- A nice, drinkable brew, goes well with sushi, definitely on par with the big name Japanese beers.
