A very fizzy bottle! Started fomain as soon as I let some pressure off the cap. A nice brown pour wih plenty of tan head leavin behind patches of lacing. Smells of chocolate, raisin, plum.. Very fruity. Tastes very sweet like a brown sugar almost, tart fruits hit the cheeks.. Gettin a raisin/ strawberry flavor with a bit of a banana aftertaste. Slight taste of chocolate and subtle roasted flavors come through for the finish.
Medium body with moderate carbonation, slight cream on lips.
A very nice desert beer, and a perfect beer to sit back and watch this storm with!

Poured like a champ, highly carbonated and good amount of lacing. Smells aromatic and bready with Candy Sugar and spices.
Tastes a bit thin, but with a solid meaty finish.
Oveall I really liked this beer. Im a huge fan of spiced Belgian Strongs.

A Christmas beer after Christmas; nothing wrong with that. The 2011 vintage, on-tap at Beachwood BBQ, on to the beer:
This Belgian Christmas ale registers a dark red color, so dark it seems to be tangoing into violet. Good lacing is provided around the glass. The aroma of powdery red grapes and vague yeast are tough to find in the nose, becuase it seems the intensity of these aromas are quite low. A dissapointing nose, however, turns worse in the taste. Do you like Tylenol's children's tablets which tasted like grape? I did when I was 7, but at 27 it appears I don't. Red grapes are the theme of the taste, which is very one dimensional. There is a breakup thanks to the beer's ABV (adding a touch of heat), but despite a soft texture from the medium-full body, this beer never seemed to get on the right track in the first place. This is not how I'd want to nightcap my Christmas.

Was given a free bottle from Halftime beverage. Thanks guys!
A - Pours a very fizzy dark amber brown with a good amount of haze and some sediment.
S - Smells of tart cherries fruity plums and raisins. A mild bit of what appears to be spice or pretzel dough.
T - Starts off with a mild dose of chocolate and roast but thankfully isn't soured too bad. Mostly some ripe dark fruits and fruity Belgium yeasts. Finish is sweet rather than chalky and doesn't dry the palate like most Belgium dark ales.
M - Medium bodied fizzy yet sticky to the palate.
Overall not bad especially for around 3 bucks (regular price) Doesn't seem to have much Christmas spices or really "nightcap" in nature but its a smooth drinkable Belgium dark ale regardless.

Pours a deep red and foams a little (I'm a side-of-the-glass man).
The first whiff smacks of spices and plum. Other berries and raisins follow.
The first taste (of cold brew) has some tartness mixed in with plum, red berries and nutmeg. Gets better as the beer warms.
Fizzy and foamy. Can't say this is the best Christmas ale I've had. I wouldn't reach for it first but I could live with it if that's all that was on hand.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, 5171009 code on cap. Pours very hazy dark red color with a nice 3 finger fluffy khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Spotty foamy lacing clings to the glass, with plenty of streaming carbonation. Aromas of cherry, raisin, prune, caramel, molasses, toffee, nutmeg, clove, pepper, chocolate, biscuit, toast, and yeast spices. Fantastic aromas with great balance and complexity. Taste of raisin, caramel, toffee, molasses, toast, biscuit, chocolate, nutmeg, pepper, earth, and yeast spiciness. Lingering notes of dark fruit, molasses, toffee, caramel, toast, biscuit, chocolate, nutmeg, and yeast spices on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of flavors; with no cloying on the finish at all. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a creamy, lightly slick, and slightly prickly mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian Christmas ale. Nicely complex, robust, and balanced; very smooth to drink. Really enjoyable offering.

11.2oz Bottle from Bevmo La Quinta CA for 5$
Appearance - Brown colour with an average size fizzy beige coloured head. There is a low amount of carbonation showing and there is some good lacing. The head lasted for only a few minutes.
Smell - Malts, dark fruits, caramel, earthiness
Taste & Mouth - There is an above average amount of carbonation and I can taste raisins/grapes, malts, and some butterscotch/caramel/toffee. There are also some herbal notes and a light spiciness. It ends with a grape/fruity aftertaste.
Overall - Really enjoyed this one, the ripe grape flavour was fantastic. It was very drinkable and my glass was empty before I knew it. I'd buy this one again.

Looks the type. Dark mahogany brown, really rich looking. The head is thin and fleeting, leaving a creamy ring around the perimeter.
Smell is malty with a slight note of chocolate. Alcohol scent is very faint, but present.
Tiny notes of chocolate, but not chocolatey (if that makes any sense). Raisin. Caramel. Dark ripe fruits.
Medium to full bodied feel. Not bad, but lacks complexity. Feels slightly sweet with a hint of chocolate in the early stages and finishes bitter with a hint of chocolate in the swallow. Needs something more.
A good beer. Easy to drink. Moderate, but not overpowering alcohol taste and feel. Will fill you up, one 750ml bottle is plenty.

A: Pours a carmel brown to dark brown into my snifter. Little to no head. Unremarkable.
S: very nice...lost of dark fruit and malt. Great fragrance.
T: follows smell very close. Get a nice wine like flavor along with some nice breads.
M: slick, covers the tongue..not filling, pleasant aftertaste.
O: nice effort here. A little too sweet for my Belgian dark tastes, but okay.

A - Poured out a cloudy, dark brown color with a one-finger, light brown head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass.
S - It smelled of dried fruits. Green apple aromas which seems odd for a dark ale.
T - It tasted of apple and other fruits. Good bready malt backbone provides a dose of sweetness. Just enough spicy hop bite to even things out.
M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A medium bodied ale with a fairly dry finish.
O - This is a good Belgian ale. The apple flavors in a dark ale is very unique.
