Since the Rock Bottom has been closed down for some time now, it’s nice to finally have another brewpub open in Addison. The atmosphere and décor is fairly upscale, yet the prices on both beer and food are pretty reasonable. The restaurant area is very large, yet getting good service has never been a problem though the waitresses don’t seem to know much about beer. However, considering that 95% of the bartenders and wait staff are young attractive blondes, their lack of beer knowledge can easily be forgiven. They don’t actually brew at this particular location; they have their beer trucked in. They have 8 of their own beers: BJ’s Blonde, Harvest Hefeweizen, Jeremiah Red, Piranha Pale Ale, Nutty Brewnette, PM Porter, Tatonka Stout, and Berry Burst Cider all $3.50 for a pint ($2.50 during happy hour). In addition, they have a pretty nice selection of Belgian beers: Affligem, Chimay, De Koninck, Duvel, Hoegaarden, Koningshoeven, Lindemans, Maredsous, and Orval all of which are fairly reasonably priced. Their menu is quite extensive with over 100 different items. I’ve only had some of the appetizers, all of which were good though not great. There are several TVs throughout the restaurant (not as many as you would find in a sports bar, though), but if you want to assure yourself of a good view, you will probably want to sit at the bar (the only big screens are over the bar). If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth checking out.
