This is a drinkable brew, but compared to others in the style, not very impressive. Pours the usual hazy straw color with a good foamy lace on the glass. The aroma is of toasted malt. The initial flavor is very toasted with a moderate bitterness and a strong Northwest floral hop presence. Although quite hazy, almost no yeast presence is detectable in the flavor. Not bad on its own, but not fitting in the style.

Pours a somewhat hazy yellowish-gold color with a fizzy, white head. Remarkably, it actually holds pretty well for a light-bodied hefeweizen. Mild citrus/wheaty lemon taste with a pretty good overall flavor. A surprisingly decent & refreshing hefeweizen

The beer pours a chill hazed gold color with a modest creamy white head that evaporates quickly leaving a velum like film upon the glass. Nose has a light yeast aroma, hints of wheat, fresh and clean, start is slightly sweet with a light grain profile, top is thin in feel. Finish is briskly acidic, the hops light in their bite with the aftertaste dry as the desert wind, drinkable.

This beer pours out a cloudy dark golden color, huge white foam head on top. Scent is of apples, citrus type smells. The emphasis of the taste is more acidic, citrusy than most hefes, especially americans, that i have had. Its an interesting interpretation, but to be honest there are many hefes i would grab before returning to this one.

Medium gold color slightly cloudy. Medium white foamy head. An unfiltered Hefe-weizen, fairly hoppy and malty. Nice flavor, citrus and banana. Nice hop balance.Mouthfeel is round. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste has a slight bite to it, citrus, no bitterness

Appearance: dark straw color, tasty amount of haziness, sudsy layer of white head that collapses on itself rather quickly, a few threads of lace

Aroma: slightly clovey, bready, appley tartness, grain, a bit soapy

Flavor: bready/yeasty/malty front followed by a round sweetness, a pert tartness peeks through towards the finish, hop flavor is subtle and could be "Noble", bitterness is balanced towards sweetness, fairly dry finish

Mouthfeel: light body, somewhat fluffy, zesty carbonation

Overall Impression: Seems like a cross between a Bavarian and an American Hefeweizen because I think I detect some clove phenolics, but it's otherwise a pretty neutral aroma. The flavor sides with the traditional Bavarian style, however, being balanced and bready.

I bought this for my step-mother-in-law, but she only drank two beers. Not being shy, I tried the last one. Its probably been 4 years since my last hefeweizen, and that's kind of a shame.

This 12 oz. bottle was brewed just down the hill from me. It poured nicely into my pint, a hazey, misty golden bronze. Tight and thin head that quickly evaporated to a single ring around the glass. Smells very nice, wheat, yeast, and fruit. The taste has a nice wheat start and finish, but it quickly leaves the palate. The yeast adds a nice texture and fruit taste, but cleans up after swallowed. I'd have another, but there aren't any.

Bought in the 12 oz brown long neck.
Poured into a pint glass the beer had a rather appealing look to it..nice cloudy dark yellow with a good sized white head..that shrunk but did not dissapear .
A nice wheaty aroma....some fruity scents and yeast pretty good scent.
But what happened to the taste..its pretty bland...some malts and some rather harsh wheat..and thats about it.
again average in the mouth what flavours there were did not linger.
All in all good looking but rather bland tatseing Hefe( typical of American efforts in this style)..drinkable though.

Appearance: Cloudy yellow-brown color, as correct for the style. The small white head retains very well. There is slight carbonation with quite a bit of sediment and fairly good lacing.

Aroma: Not much of the spicy character often found in Hefeweizens, but a solid wheat aroma, citrus, and some yeast notes.

Taste: Begins with tart wheat, citrus, nutty yeast notes and slightly rough carbonation, later there are hints of fruit and an understated spiciness. Finishes with a slightly tart bitterness. A refreshing change of pace from the somewhat repetitious nature of German Hefeweizens.

Mouth feel: Smooth and creamy.

Drinkability/notes: Overall, a rather pleasing wheat. The label photograph of a combine harvesting an immense wheat field is both appropriate and appealing.

Started out of the bottle looking pretty good, but quickly faded. The initial pour created a big ivory head but it was quite porous and disappeared in a flash. There was no residual and no lacing. The color is light amber with a bit of cloudiness. The nose seemed to have a bit of hop sense early, but switched to a poorly defined caramel fairly quickly. Full-bodied and a bit creamy. Lots of particulate sediment in the bottom of the glass as the beer settled. Fairly sweet taste without a lot of balance and a peppery finish that lasted long after each sip. A slight alcohol overtone well into each taste.

Was a brilliant straw-golden until I added the yeast which gave it a nice, milky peach color. Head is decent, but quickly thins into a white layer of small bubbles. Carbonation is moderate, less so than it's Bavarian counterparts. Lacing is minimal to non-existent. Has an interesting aroma to it, closer to a Pilsener than what I would expect for a Hefe-Weizen, with sweet pale malt, some freshly-mown hay, and very faint hops. Sorry folks, no cloves or bananas. Mouthfeel is extremely soft and wet, with a light to medium body. Taste starts with grassy hops, fading immediately into a firmly-sweet pale malt body, a brief inkling of wheaty husks, a subtle trace of alcohol, and ending in smooth, lightly-roasted grains and an ever-so-slightly astringent finish. Hops are very minimal...the sweet malts are quite unbalanced. Drinkability is decent, but this is more of a typical American Wheat Ale than a Hefe-Weizen. Sure, the label is true to a literal translation, but there are none of the Bavarian connotations, complexities, or balance to be found here. Would be good with hot-dogs and salty potato chips.

Pale cloudy orange colour with a killer frothy lace. Mild fruit, powdery yeast and lemony fermented wheat aroma.

Soft wheat flavour up front with just enough hop bitterness to even the sweetness and light lemon flavour out. Perhaps one of the best American Wheat Ales brew to this date, very drinkable and very refreshing.
