50cl bottle poured into Paulaner Seidel
BBE 14 June 2011
A- Dark amber/light copper body with excellent clarity. 2 finger creamy head that has good retention, lacing is average/minimal
S- Caramel malts, some biscuit and honey.
T- Subtle honey sweetness with some biscuit malts upfront, this balances with the toasted malts in the finish which has a good lager cleanliness. However, finish does come too quickly, a little thin.
M- Moderate carbonation and body.
D- Aromas are promising but perhaps let down slightly by the subdued flavour profile. Nevertheless, has an excellent mouthfeel and tasty enough to be a good example of a sweetier maltier heller bock.
