Went there before Fruit in the Room event so this was our first time there and we were only there for about an hour and a half. But these were our thoughts...
The atmosphere was nice. Family friendly while still maintaining the brewpub feel. Loved how you could see all the brewing equipment, but my biggest complaint is that it was very humid on the inside. Loved that they had an outside bar and didn't realized they had 2 TVs out there. I think they could have used more TVs inside, but that's just me. Service was average. Nothing amazing. Good about checking up on us, but like I said, nothing too outstanding. Good selection of beer being that they had a lot of their own brews and maybe half a dozen other beers on tap. Food was good, but typical pub food. Overall, I loved this place and would like to go again.

I visited Tampa Bay Brewing Co while down for spring training to see the Orioles. The Orioles were terrible, but this place made the trip worthwhile. The atmosphere was fun and interesting, with many artifacts hanging and brewing devices in plain sight. The service was good, as the server was attentive and accurate. The beer selection was very good, and the beer itself was great (cool names too). I had the IPA and the Barleywine, both of which were good, but especially the IPA, which has superb balance. The food was very tasty as well. Cannot recommend it enough.

This place feels strange. It is cavernous, but always empty.
They have pretty good beer, and a wide variety of styles (I think they brew @10 full-time varieties); nothing is spectacular. I take that back, I've had some cask ales that were ridiculous here. I like the Moose Killer Barleywine, and the True Blonde. And cask IPA, delicious.
I don't know if they have brews from other brewers, it never occurred to me to ask.
Certainly worth checking out; usually you can have the run of the place.

Stopped here while exploring Ybor City in 02/10.
They have a pretty nice interior area that's covered in old-style wood paneling with a large bar. There's also a bar outside with all of the house beers, too.
Food was typical bar food. The beer cheese soup was solid, as were the fish and chips and bangers/mash. Nothing overly noteworthy, but no real complaints either.
For beer, they had an imperial stout, porter, amber, weizen, pale, IPA, and light ale. They also apparently just ran out of their seasonals which included a weizenbock. Beers were okay, but nothing special. Still, they were fresh and approachable. I had the imp. stout and amber and both were decent.
In addition to their own beers, they also had guest taps for Blue Point, Victory, and Lindemann's. No arguments with the guest tap selection as the choices make sense.
There seem to be lots of locals visiting and they even have their own mug club, which is smart.
If you're in Ybor - drop in. you won't be blown away, but you won't leave upset either.

Located in Ybor City, back in a first floor corner of Centro Ybor with the secondary entrance on the left facing side of a bank of windows with neon signs in the upper reaches of each window. The main entrance was along the left side with the m.d.s. with a wooden rack of logo items to the immediate right and a bank of FVs to the immediate left. Also to the left were a purple (!) felt billiards table; restaurant seating with standard tables and chairs; the brewhouse; and a (smaller) secondary bar. The main, "U"-shaped, hammered copper-topped bar was off to the right, past the servers' station. Mugs hung from the heavy wooden pillars as well as on the back bar. A color chalkboard to the extreme right of the bar listed all of their available beers. High tables and chairs lined the windows with booth seating in the bar area. The kitchen was straight aft of the main entry, to the left of the main bar. English style darts and opulent lavs to left of kitchen.
Beer: Well, no wonder that this place is so highly rated! Moosekiller (barley wine); Iron Rat (Imp.) Stout; Old Elephant Foot (IPA); Red Eye (Amber Ale); Wild Warthog (German style lite); True Blonde; One Night Stand (Pale Ale); Jack the
Quaffer (robust Porter).
Cask: Oatmeal Imperial.
I started with cask, ended by being stomped by the foot.

First off, the food was almost all excellent, and thanks to the previous reviewer we didn't miss out on the ale and cheese dip, which was fantastic. Pizza, pulled pork, sandwiches, etc, all were quite good.
They were out of cask beer. Annoying; I seem to bat about .300 when I go into a place that supposedly has cask; you locals need to stop drinking it all! Also out of the amber.
Porter was decent as was the hefe. Stout was surprisingly good. Pale ale was OK, golden ale kind of boring but not in a bad way. Mostly well done. IPA was significantly better than average.
Homemade root beer was a highlight to most of my party, though I thought it was average.
Service was decent, but we had one of those who seem to try to memorize everything and invariably forget several things and have to come back - dude just write it down! If I'm being honest, it's nothing to really bitch about, but just a pet peeve.
Good place, good vibe, I'll be back!

Been here a few times and it never dissapoints. Located in central Ybor. 10 beers on tap today plus on cask of ipa. They offer a sampler so you can try all their beers plus there own root beer. The food was great; the ale and cheese dip is fantastic. Nice outside area with bar.
Their beer is great; the cask ipa is to die for. Also had a pint of the Old Elephant Foot ipa which was good. My wife always gets the sampler, and I end up drinking most of it. The Quaffer Porter was good as was the Rat Stout. Really good beer here well worth the trip.

In the main area of Ybor. Has a TGI Fridays or other American chain restaurant feel to it. That I think is it's only downfall.
Decent brews, the Scotch was my favorite. They always have a cask conditioned brew from a hand pump. When I was there they had tapped an IPA and was pretty good. Also had the barleywine, well done but I've had much better. Service was excellent, even got to try one of the servers homebrews since he could tell I was a beer lover. Food was very good, nice menu.
Overall a good place with good food and drink.

Stopped in here to get out of the rain and grab a snack and a beer.
Nice place to eat, very family friendly and welcoming. Told the waiter we were just going to grab a couple beers and some fries and he didn't mind at all. We talked about beer for a bit and he told us where to check out around town. Service was quick and he was quick to make sure we were satisfied. The beer selection was limited to their beers but they had an excellent variety and the two we had were very good.
I didn't rate the food but the fries with the house beer mustard were excellent. It all tasted really good and was done right.

Who, passing through Tampa, can pass up the Tampa Brewing Company? No one. And that's probably why they do so well. Great location, to be sure.
That said, the inside is nicely decorated (and the outside patio seating is spectacular when it's not too hot). It's a bit basic, but also nicely adorned. I like the horse brass and old pictures on the walls. And the layout seems to work, although I prefer a more quiet table towards the back near the pool tables.
You can't go wrong with the pizza, which is great, but some of the other items can be a let-down.
As for the beer, I was stunned that they use Cara-pils malt in some of their formulations!!!??? Cara-pils is basically for homebrewers, and any brewer worth his boots can adjust his mash accordingly to create whatever he's looking for right there. There's no need to use specialty malts as a 'Band-Aid'... ... but, OK, whatever, their beers were good so I guess I can't fault them.
Overall, I found it a pretty charming place to dine, and good for families with children (earlier before the bar gets full of 8th Street "kids").
