A - Exactly as one would expect from a Hefe Weizen and its not German!
S - Again this was hitting the right notes, wheaty and fruity.
T - Pleasingly fruity, little bitterness.
M - Good carbonation and very smooth.
D - A second is almost a necessity.
Of the beers I tried at the Tampa Bay Brewing Co I enjoyed this the most.

First had: on tap at the brewpub in Tampa
Somewhat hazy pour, banana yellow, with a small white head that retained well and left a bit of lacing on the glass. Usual aroma suspects: wheat, banana, clove, all in light quantities, but nothing really "off." Similar in the taste, wheat, banana, clove, light citrus notes, sugar sweetness. Light body, fairly drinkable, not great, but not too bad overall, and one of the better brews I had at TBBC.

I had this beer poured in a pint glass at the brewpub.
A: Hazy Lemony, Golden Straw Hue, Foamy White Head that dissaptates to a white ring, Decent Lacing
S: Mild Lemon, Mild Wheat
T: Banana, Clove, Lemon, Wheat, Pineapple
M: Decent Carbonation, Light Bodied, Mildly Sweet, Mildly Bitter
Overall, a really good hefewiezen and a great starter beer for beginners, very drinkable especially in the summer.

Excellent, refreshing example of a hefeweizen. Hazy, pale golden color. Slight bit of sediment as expected. Creamy two finger head that fades quickly but leaves sea foam lacing.
Fresh lemon zest floats from a bready background with hints of black pepper and clove. Fruity notes with faint bannana hints.
The flavor is bready, grainy, and earthy with spicy notes of black pepper, clove and ginger. Bright fruit notes of lemon with bubblegum hints.
Crisp, thin, light, grainy and refreshing like a hefeweizen should be.
Overall, an excellent, refreshing example of the style.

Poured on-tap at the Tampa Bay Brewing Co brewery in Ybor City. The beer was served in a pint glass, and it is an opaque, pale, creamy yellow coloring with plenty of sediment and a thin film of head that clings well to the glass. The beer has a light nose that is bready and slightly clove spiced. Flavors are heavy floral and lemon tart that is so strong it's almost syrupy. Tartness becomes bitter on the aftertaste; almost astringent. The body is pretty smooth to begin with, but finishes with a spicy, crisp, dry bite.

As expected, it was very hot & humid in Tampa (early August). After walking around Ybor a bit, I was ready for a refreshing beer.
This was served in standard shaker oint, It is a hazy dark yellow with a bone white head.
It has a big banana nose with some clove and allspice in the background.
Wow, lots of spice in the taste. I like the clove, pepper and allspice. It overpowers the grains. Maybe a bit unbalanced, but still tasty.
The mouth is slick and slightly oily.
I like the amped up spices, but it is a one and done for me.

Pours a pale straw color with a nice haziness. A decent sized white head formed and lasted throughout the drink.
Smell is fruity, with notes of hefe yeast, bananas and oranges, earthy hop notes, very nice.
Taste is very well balanced and not too sweet. Banana comes through as well as some spice. Very drinkable.
Mouthfeel is appropriate for the style nothing exceptional or odd to report here.
Drinkability is pretty high. Great thirst quencher.

Enjoyed on-tap at the brewpub. Above-average, creamy mouthfeel, a lacey hefy with a wheat aroma. Cloudy bananna colour. Cloves. Suitable carbonation, though it is above average.High in pilsner malt. This batch listed at 5.2%. A sourness though really sweetened with sugar, malt.

Poured a cloudy golden yellow with a nice white head, good retention and lacing. Smells are big in banana and spices like clove, with some bread and lemon. Tastes of bananas, a touch of lemon, bread and cloves, with a slight hot dog water finish. Medium in body with nice carbonation. An easy to drink hefe, highly sessionable, could be especially tasty on a warm summer day in Florida, sitting on the patio at TBBC.

Yellow with hints of orange throughout. White head drops to a film.
Smell is spice, wheat, citrus(orange), clove and cinnamon.
Taste is clove and other spices I could not separate, wheat, malt.
A smooth brew with a decent body, nice light effervescence. A good beer and well received on a typical Florida summer early evening (4/30/07).

Enjoyed this exceptional brew on tap in the new location of an old friendly brewpub. It's been too long since I've tasted this.
Appearance: the only thing keeping me from giving this a 5.0 is that it came in a pint glass, not a weizen glass. Yeah, I know, but it's my ultimate wheat dream. Cloudy, golden orange colored with a rocky off-white head, which recedes ever so slowly to form sticky lacing.
Smell: definitive bananas and cloves, grassy with other mild spice.
Bubblegum sweetness and fresh scents of wheat bread.
Taste: nice wheat bite, sweet overripe bananas and gum balanced by ever so mild hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel: refreshing medium bodied and enjoyable. Carbonation is right on the money for me.
Drinkability: I could sit open-mouthed below the open tap with this beer. I rate all other brewpub's hefes against Tampa Bay's. This is my ultimate hefeweizen.

Good x 5. Nice yellow color. Simple cloudiness hangs around under the thick white crown.
Curry (?), some pepper, orange, banana and lemon (she didn't put one in so I'm thankfull but I wouldn't care). Big aroma for a hefe.
Taste and mouthfeel are refreshing, and clean. Lemons, orange, and a mild malt undertone with a smooth grasp of hops following through. Slick but dissappated fast leaving anticipation for another drink. Too easy to gulp 3 more of these without paying attention.

Wild Warthog Hefeweizen has a great appearance. It's deep yellow and cloudy with a gossamer-like white head and substantial carbonation.
I was surprised by the smell. This smells like a German wheat beer! It is spicy with big banana and clove notes. They must have used special yeast, since most American wheat beers don't have the fancy aroma.
The flavor is equally good. It is spicy and tart, just like I would like it to be. There is no bitterness.
The body is light and smooth. This is very refreshing.
This is Tampa Bay Brewing Co.'s best beer. In fact, this is probably the best hefeweizen I have had that is brewed in America. If you visit this brewpub, you must try it for it is truly a standout beer.

Very cloudy pale-gold forming a small white head with good retention and lacing. Traditional aroma of over-ripe bananas and cloves. Mouthfeel is light and spritzy with a medium body. Taste is very traditional and also a very good representative of the style. Tart, lemony finish. Very nice.
