Frankenmuth New Year Stout 2012 from Frankenmuth
poured from a seal top bottle bottle into my Sam Smith Snifter
P-packaging: 1 Quart resealable Bottle with the Frankenmuth Eagle Logo and a basic grey sunburst design, Bottle #453/801 3.25
A-appearance : Deep brown to Black with a off white head and good lacing 4.25
S- smell: Dark fruit, toasted malt, bread 4.00
T-taste: very complex.Bright nose with fruit and malt, undertones of smoke a well as yeasty bread, gives way to a fruity hoppy somewhat bitter finish 4.25
M-mouthfeel : mild carbonation and a medium to light body, big bold flavor and lingering finish 4.0
D-drinkability: more of a sipper, almost wine like 3.75
O-overall: Once again Frankenmuth's limited runs do not disappoint 4.25
Had two of these in my cellar for a year, an excellent way to celebrate the New Year ---J
